Never very taken with that statue. Always reminds me of one of those lifesize horses they have at saddleries to display rugs and [your new word] numnahs. Think it would have been better smaller and on a plinth. Still remember Best Mate and Sir Rembrandt leaving the paddock for the Gold Cup and thinking that I'd never seen two more handsome horses.

Interesting that you would prefer a smaller version of this foot perfect horse. I think that a life-sized model gives more presence to a horse/animal/human/whatever. Or bigger in the case of the likes of Nelson, imagine how he'd look scaled down in Trafalgar Square.

I'm getting images of Father Ted explaining to Dougal about Cows being near or far away :lol:
