I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to let Champ just roll along.

If he's as classy as his reputation (hasn't Nico already decided he'll ride him in preference to Santini?) why not just let him roll? They did it with Might Bite in the RSA.

Sorry have I missed something here, why is Mark Walsh not riding him?

I think he's quite versatile, he's made the running over fences and hurdles and also been held up.
Others in the line up tend to sulk if they don't make it etc.

Very hard to look past Al Boum Photo for most but to think a horse who we seldom see could emulate greats like Kauto 5 kg's Golden Miller 5 GC and Arkle 3GC's by winning a 3rd Gold Cup shows how poor the devision really is....to me despite ABP'sclaim to fame anyone of 10 could win this years race

Walsh only gets the Irish trained runners. The UK trained runners are a free for all/best available

Not necessarily. Nico was/is on champ whereas Coleman is on Santini.

If Coleman was JPs man it would be the other way around.

Jonjo rides the ones trained by his dad. Nico rides most of the Henderson trained ones.

The only person Coleman is "retained" by is Olly Murphy

The thing about this for me is that, look at how the public get behind horses Enable, Frankel, Kauto, Arkle, Red Rum, Altior etc... My mum knows who they are and she doesn’t care for racing!

ABP has like you say, just done well to find a division that is poor for the past few years. However, has it got any better this year? Hopefully....

He is. Nico is on buveur d'air.

As I said, it is a mix and match job. No one is getting everything

Didn't the riding arrangements for Epatante and Buveur D'Air have something to do with earlier availability? Didn't Nico opt to go somewhere earlier in the year for a ride and the decision was made then to let Coleman keep the ride on Epatante permanently? I don't know for sure. There's just something along those lines in the murk of an ageing memory.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was based on promise being shown by BDA in his comeback work.

He clearly stays well. He was good at the weekend. They must be tempted to have him sat handy after that.

I think unlikely but any chance Rachel does the switcheroo and doesn't ride Minella

Between her and bryony, ITV will build this race to be the biggest event since the Berlin Wall came down
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

I don't think anyof them have improved Santini is a pro loser, Champ is an accident wating to happen with someof the craziest leaps you'll ever see not a natural jumper at all LIT has lost his way NativeRiver's best days have flowed past him. could almost be an instant replay with A Plus Tard being only possibilty
