No idea if you're correct MR2 but I like the sound of it. I have been backing Argentina all year for it, win a silly competition in work if they win and possibly win this. What could go wrong ?

So our winner, bigeeps scoops the staggering prize fund of €100. A very shrewd selection. Any wally (see our 3rd placed finisher) can pick Costa Rica, but the progression of Algeria, Greece and Argentina showed he knows his onions.

In second place, montyracing2, showed similar intelligence. Apart from Los Ticos and Algeria, he picked Holland, which was seen at the time as a bit of a long shot. £40 to Monty.

In third place, we have an capall. After him nabbing my Dubs ticket last September, it is going to kill me to hand the man €25. My only consolation is that having seen how the man dresses, he clearly needs it more than me.

Well done to everyone. Sorry I didn't get to update scores in running so much. I had my reasons.

Could all prize winners please pm me to arrange payment of prize money. Monty may have to wait a couple of weeks until I am in the UK.

Bar - great comp - my riches to Our Lady's Hospice if that's OK.

    Good comp... thanks

Will take heed of instructions next time as having all 4 semi-finalists wasn't enough...... although I did great elsewhere .....

    PS. Thanks for hosting, Bar.

PPS. Whilst I get the reasons behind his decision, Lahm retiring from International football is a real shame. Never good to see top-players withdraw from that arena before their time.

Thanks for running the competition Barry, I learned my lesson from the Euro one.

Your generosity is welcome but can you please split the prize 50/50 between Col for running costs of the forum and the rest to a charity of your choice.
