I'm sorry but this statement is utter bollocks. I was in PP st the time and I know exactly what they stood to lose. Had she stood up PP would have paid out like the bookmaker they were. Happy to debate this with anyone because no one can tell me anything I don't know about it.
I agree it's bollocks, but at the time I watched Grand National and the festival that was it. Only since I got more understanding I realised it was bullocks. Press don't help things, publishing that certain bookmakers (or maybe all, can't remember) saved 75 million on that fall. The rational thing to do then as a casual is question the integrity of the sport.
