Liked red river fto
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done
yes I spied that race and am half tempted to bunk off work for it. Obviously, everything is price dependent but was hugely taken with Red River as well
For those who use February races to fine tune their Cheltenham selections, it might be worth noting that the Deloitte (Brave Inca) is going down to 2 miles this season so the field may have a slightly different make up. A bit of a bummer as Bunk Off Early would likely have won last season without the extra couple of furlongs.
As far as I can see, it's because the new festival weekend combines the previous Sunday meetings at the end of January and mid February. The Golden Cygnet which was previously 2m4f in the January meeting is now listed as 2m6f on the same day as the Deloitte.
The older I get the better I was.
The Jan race at Naas is quickly becoming a race to follow on these shores

Nico suggesting after the race that having shown a few more gears today, OTBS may be better over intermediate trip rather than being Bartlett-bound. Also intimating that this was Nicky's preferred plan even before the race today.

From NH’s latest Unibet blog:
“On The Blind Side was very impressive today, carrying a penalty, and couldn’t have done it any better. Obviously all talk will be of Cheltenham and we will probably go back there at some stage, but for what race, I don’t quite know yet. I don’t see him as an out and out stayer and I’ll be surprised if we go over three miles so we’ll be sticking to 2m4f for the time being. He’ll only be having one season over hurdles as he’s a chaser through and through. We’ll have a look at the G1 Challow Hurdle at Newbury next and perhaps put him away until March.”
Getabird looked to have plenty under the bonnet today
Nice reappearance
Maybe more a horse for Chelt 2019 than this year unless they go 3m

Albert Bartlett trial at Cheltenham on Saturday is an absolute belter. First four in the betting for the Festival race are all entered-up.
Hopefully Cracking Smart goes, and demolishes them. Fabulous Saga did the form no harm at all, in Cork on Sunday. I appreciate the race probably not all that representative, but........you know......

Next Destination is good. Possibly quite good. Hopefully himself and Samcro have a scrap at some stage this season
Cracking Smart looked plenty green there.
He'll surely be stepped up now

Next Destination looks very good. Very impressed how he quickens from nothing. He looks like he's falling asleep one second, the next he's after taking lengths out of them. Great sign of a horse.
Think he'll be Albert Bartlett bound and unless we see him at Naas for the Lawlor's Hotel Hurdle in January we wont see a Samcro clash.
200/1 shot Kilahara Castle wins the mares Listed Novice Hurdle at Thurles!! Nice Christmas present if you were on.
Don't really agree. He's taking lengths out of lets face it, poorish horses. Would much prefer Samcro and OTBS going forward. The fact that Cracking Smart managed second in that race despite being urged and bumped a long way from home says little for the form.
Trip too short for Cracking Smart - especially so off a dawdling pace. Hopefully still progressive over 3m.
Hard to knock ND - did everything he had to do, and not much more.

Too short for both races in March now.
Fridays Supreme trial at Ascot looks a cracker at the 5 day stage and just hope a decent field turn up. I'll probably side with Slate House if the price is right, but he'll have to be good to concede the weight

Trip might be a concern for him. He looks staying type to me
