Agree with that, these veteran races are irresistible for a punt n no sour grapes to any winner. Didn't back it yesterday but I must be a rarity in only backing Buywise when it's won, think it was at Aintree once

I thought trainer comments were quietly confident when reading The Post today. Some market support for him is good to see.

I've been burned by him too many times. Was on tilt ever since he threw away the NH chase because of his jumping but he's never repaid me.

You're right, he's bound to go in again at some point but I won't be cursing if he does. It's gone way beyond that.

Haha well with my tipping record you're doing the right thing, Bear.

If the money does come for him before the off as might happen, it will be interesting as to whether that is general-public support or professional money.

A much better effort from Shotgun Paddy. He's the Classic Chase at Warwick this coming Saturday written, stamped and plastered all over him, (a race where he was third off a eleven pound higher mark last year, to subsequent Grand National winner One For Arthur). I'll be going all-in if he gets entered tomorrow and declared Thursday.

He's actually won this Warwick race, and come third twice on significantly higher marks. I'm just awaiting the entries atm.

No entry for Shotgun Paddy I’m afraid. Probably saves you some cash

Cresswell Breeze was a big tracker horse for me last season and I mentioned her a few times on this thread.

She has the entry at Warwick Saturday but also Catterick on Thursday.

From looking at the early entries for the Warwick chase it looks anyones' race for the taking.

I'd be surprised if there was another One For Arthur in there this year.

The final decs for Catterick will be Wednesday while final decs fo Warwick will be Thursday, so the hope is Cresswell Breeze is taken out of Catterick on Wednesday morning which leaves me appoximately 24 hours to grab the anti-post price for Saturday at Warwick!

    Doncaster 3:10

Nightline has a sound chance with the course form, about 9/2. Win only

Joseph O Brien sends Grey Waters to Lingfield tomorrow. This filly has a major chance on near- enough bottom weight on a mark of 65.

Over hurdles she beat a horse called Masterstonemason a neck who went-on to finish second behind a potential Triumph Hurdle winner (Gavin Cromwell's, Espoir D'Allen).

Hurdles form indicates Grey Waters is anywhere from 130+, yet the all weather mark is half this.

Grey Waters has tomorrows Lingfields race at her mercy.

A nice win would boost the Masterstonemason form line which in turn would boost Espoir D'Allen Triumph hurdle claims, (in a very small way).

I could see Grey Waters ending up in the 2 mile handicap hurdle for four year olds at The Festival, along with Masterstonemason.

At 6/4 the bookies haven't missed a trick, but its actually a fair price considering Grey Waters is probably 1-2 stone well-in and also she could be 4/6 by race time tomorrow, (good job Gigs hasn't put her up ).

    Sporting Life says....

GREY WATERS (NAP) won twice over hurdles in Ireland before sent to Kempton and landing a similar race to this from just 4lb lower. HIS latest start was in a Grade 2 hurdle at Leopardstown where HE ran very well and will be very difficult to beat off this mark.

Come'n Sporting Life get your facts right!

    She's a filly!

Read my postings properly and you won't make these micky-mouse errors, lol!

Diagnostic (6.15) was on the improve until given a break after completing her hat-trick.
Upped well in class nto., she blew any chance she had by pulling too hard for her own comfort.
The drop back to 6f ought to see her progress again today.

    Best of luck, Reet.

Take nothing away from Authors Dream, he backed up his last wide-margin win nicely, but I was disappointed with the ride given to Grey Waters, although Oisin Murphy might have been riding to instructions.

The horses forte is staying, once she bounced out the gate in-front she should have been nudged along to hold that position throughout the contest.

Grey Waters should have been the horse making it a test of stamina, but Oisin Murphy seemed happy to sit off the pace after a furlong and let Martin Harley dictate the race on Authors Dream.

Be easy to have a pop at Oisin Murphy but he easily could have been riding to instructions, with a bigger-prize money pot in mind at a later date for the horse.

Heavy ground forecast at Leicester tomorrow, something Hollywood All Star has an excellent track record on. There are a few unexposed, younger & progressive horses in the field but this doesn't detract from the fact that Hollywood All Star is probably a decent each way bet at 20/1 now dropped a few pounds.

Seems to be a big punt on the horse today Marb, and I don't think it's my 3 pence ew that's done it! Here's hoping! Been dry round here overnight so hope the ground isn't too gluey...[got the 20's!]
