Haha I should have been a bookie.

    Sad for Frankie though.

I think Lionel is a solid each way bet for the Irish version at 10s. Tuesday is the most likely winner obviously but I'm not convinced about the rest of the opposition. I'm not certain the track will suit Westover (was his waywardness at Sandown greenness or maybe he has a preference for going left handed). I have no idea about the Job horse but his little brother's looks a stone non-stayer to me. Lionel's Goodwood form I think is ok, Lysander ran as well as could be expected at Ascot last week given it was his first go on decent ground.

He does look a nice horse but I'd imagine most of us were thinking St Leger?

Dunno, Lope de Vega doesn't come across as a rampant producer of boats. I just like his price given this field.

Seems to me to be a rather sub-standard event this year.

The front two apart, yes, but that was the same going into the Derby and Oaks.

    Yeah with Euro on Lionel.

I think he's likely to improve a lot and although Tuesday just won an Oaks and Westover was unlucky in the Derby, how much more improvement will they find?

Lionel at the prices. Come on Spencer ha.

Tuesday, for reasons already explored, could be the biggest improver of the lot.

This race has been the aim for Lionel and I can see him running well. Bit of juice will clearly help. Does look like he wants a trip.

Do you think she will improve though if it's a real test?

Are they up to giving her a 'real test'?

Will surely make use of Westover if they have too. Tuesday may have her optimum over 10.

I think Westover is the only one with the ability to test her, if that were the plan. The others might well burst themselves trying. He probably ended up with the harder race at Epsom, has to travel and even if he is 100% she might just improve the more.

But I don't plan putting money on it so I'll be happy to see a performance worthy of a traditionally strong race from either of them or, indeed, any other sudden improvers.

Piz Badile is alot better than we saw at Epsom

The Derby may not have been a great race so an upset here would not surprise me.
