Interesting handicaps at Goodwood tomorrow. The first time in a while I've enjoyed studying the form.
1:50 I fancy a very big run from SEINESATIONAL (each way 33/1 Bet 365) who has a win strike rate of about 30 percent (6/21) in smaller races. He is a horse who knows how to win races, still progressing with a great racing weight. He has good track form at Goodwood, is nine pound better off with another rival in Age Of Wisdom, which epitomises how well handicapped Seinesational is. He might relish the step up in class.
2:25 FUTURE INVESTMENT (8/1 Win) is a very interesting horse. He was gelded last season where connections wisely didn't bother to run him but he's doing really well this season with the highlight being an excellent third place in a valuable race at Down Royal. Top marks to Ralph Beckett for having the audacity to run him in Ireland on only his fourth start. This could go a lot shorter than the opening show of 8/1.
3:00 John Quinn probably can't believe his luck in training a filly like LIBERTY BEACH (6/4 win, NAP). She's an odds-on chance currently available at odds-against. She'll take some stopping.
4:10 ELECTRIC LADYLAND (10/1 Each way) ran two solid races in big field events the last two runs so could realistically go very close to winning.
4:45 A competitive handicap with horses that have ran in some good races. The one I really like is a filly that has beaten the colts and geldings already this season at Hamilton called MOLL DAVIS (NB, 8/1 general price). The form of her 1M4F win last time has been franked. She stays further than 1M2F but they'll go much faster here which should mitigate this. I'm confident she has the gears to win well.

Fun Mac @ 14/1 5 Places is a nice price in the opener at Goodwood.
Lil Rockerfella, Dubawi Fifty and Mancini all holds obvious claims but all like to go on so this could turn into a real war of attrition and Fun Mac, depsite advancing years, traditionally has the pace to hold a position in the Chester Cup and seemingly endless stamina so holds rock solid claims of running into a place and although wins are hard to come by he's down to his lowest mark for a long time (May 2015) and could surprise if the likely leaders cut each other's throats.
It's not a particularly strong race with a third of the field out of the handicap.
Alcohol, because no good story ever started with "I was eating this salad..."
Like Desert Icon 2.25 a lot. Only had 4 races, but already signs he's better than a handicapper.
General 5/1 and shortening.
Alright folks its been a while since I've been on, hope you've all been well and winning. Probably not going to be about much for some time to come due to seemingly endless tidal waves of **** to deal with away from racing. This year has been an utter nightmare thus far and its not looking like its going to get much better anytime soon. I currently have a couple of weeks off work so have a bit of time to regroup and get myself together a bit. So just thought I'd pop in to say I hadn't forgot about the place or you lot. Keep fighting the good fight and hopefully I'll be back getting involved when everything has settled down a bit.
All the best.

Tricky races tomorrow, I could easily write paragraphs for all the potential winners but have whittled them down.
I fancy The Trader (1:50) in the first who may improve for the gelding operation (if you can forgive the last run); a value price - the betting market may prove quite informative.
Spanish Mission (3:00) has every chance of following up it's last win, while Stone Circle (4:10) looks a big improver for trainer Michael Bell, (a big price on the opening shows too).
Good luck.

Fox Premier (1.50G) is a progressive colt and has won both his 10f starts to date, However, he plainly didn't see out the strongly run 12f of the King George V at Ascot, and reverts to his best distance today.
Worth an e.w. punt at the current 8/1.

Reet,
Fox Premier 5/1 was disappointing in the King George V Handicap at Royal Ascot last time and there were no obvious excuses after the race.
We thought he was going there with a big chance, but as we all know, any horse can have an off day. We’re dropping back to 1m2f in this handicap and he’s two from two over the distance which is encouraging.
He’s a very capable horse and we just have to hope he can return to the form of his wins earlier in the season.

Friday's Picks (All E/W)
1:50 - Strong form lines to analyse. I can never underestimate the form of a filly who has placed in a big showcase handicap against the colts and geldings so therefore Solar Gold's second placing in the Bunbury Cup behind Vale of Kent (Admirality back in third) reads very well. That was her career best effort. The forecast price of 16/1 looks well worth getting stuck into each way.
3:00 History Writer (NAP, Each Way) can finish in the first four. He is a right handed specialist so should like Goodwood, was gelded over the winter, then ran a career best at Sandown when winning by two lengths beating some excellent yardsticks. He's still on a very good mark and may have actually been mapped out for this race for a long time.
4:40 Prince Of Arran (NB) has that all important top-class handicap form which you can't underestimate even when comparing it to the group form of other horses. He returns from a break after finishing a fine third in the Melbourne Cup, so I'll take that form to trump the rest of them. He's another huge price who could run into a place against a very short priced odds-on favourite.

John Gosden's long maintained that Angel's Hideaway (1.50G) is a top of the ground filly and she should have her conditions today. After placing in the Guineas and the Jersey she ought to be suited by the drop back to a sharp 7f today. Has the rail draw in stall 1, but has lain up with the pace in better fields than this so it oughtn't be too much of problem for her.
7/1 taken.

Colin Phillips (2nd August 2019), Outsider (2nd August 2019)
Hopefully have saved the best until last for Saturday...
3:40 Baron Bolt back in a handicap could be lethal. The blinkers are on, he's been dropped a few pound in the handicap and his Ayr Gold Cup win represents top class form. 20/1 - what a price!!! :
2:25 Desert Skyline back in a good bit of form now and could start much shorter than 12/1.
Good luck

Houtzen ran well for a nice ew, think you tipped it a while back Martin on its first UK run

I don't remember that Geoff but I'm more than happy to take credit for winners or each ways I shouldn't
I see the forum shrewdie-poster Outsider has tipped Blue De Vega in the first.
I remember mentioning that horse last season. He's a positive in the betting. He could definitely win on a going day. He must be on a low mark now I'd have thought. I wrote down King Robert as the one to back each way. Both could outrun the odds.
I'm loaded with cold. Hope you're well.
