good race but have to think there's a strong chance SC/UDS going off together will only set it up for one of the other two

Over 2 miles if they get it right up front they'll take some pegging back.

Totally. I'm topping up and partially laying SC in running and I'm also balls deep in SR.

As cover I will put a bet up on Altior IR at 3s or 7/2.

A great race to watch, not to have a bet in. Do we get declarations for December Hurdle tomorrow, Roger?

At Cheltenham I get this play but at Sandown Altior can't get too far behind. If he comes off it like he did at the festival he's beat for my money.

I don't think he has the pace to lay up, especially first time out. The horse is a stayer and if Nicholls trained him he'd be running over staying trips by now.

Couldn't agree more, there's nothing better than watching top 2 mile chases imo

Great to see. Long live the 2 mile chaser
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Can't wait to see how this plays out.

14 years since that Tingle Creek.
All comers, all grounds, all beaten!

Remains the greatest race I've ever seen.

I'd be worried about dismissing Altior as a stayer. True, he came off the bridle quicker than you would have liked in the Champion Chase, and appeared to grind it out, but it was the slowest ground in years at Cheltenham in March, and I reckon it blunted his pace. In real terms, he is different gravy to the others in this race over 2m, and I'd be very hesitant indeed to be taking him on.

Exactly my thoughts. The Altior/Lalor double appeals

If 1 is the mean, the same:

    Denman is Native River 1.3

    and Altior is Azerty 1.2

then UDS is Moscow 0.6. He's not in the same class really

Moscow indisputably a better horse than UDS.

No surprise there's some old names flying about

This has the look of the best Tingle Creeks since Moscow and a tough race to be looking at with any great confidence

UDS. Mullins horses are running like drains and you can't win races like this unless you are 100%

Altior: Toughest task to date if he wins this easily he will go down as an all time great

Saint Calvados How good his win against Footpad was with some Mullins horses running like dead fish is hard to work out.
If I woke up Sunday morning and saw he had won I would not be surprised he's all the better than his Arkle run

Sceau Royal : I am a big fan of this horse and Daryl Jacob is one of the best out there.
I imagine he will be hoping to get first run on Altior and try and skip clear at the pond fence
If he doesn't have 3 or 4 lengths in hand at the last then it will be game over.

I might have 2 quid on SC and just enjoy what should be a cracker

DECEMBER HANDICAP HURDLE - UNISON from Jeremy Scott's yard has turned out to be a cracking handicap hurdler. He has a win strike of 8/21 over hurdles, has won over 80 grand in prize money, and been dropped a couple of pounds in the handicap, after a decent return to form when third the last day at Huntingdon. With Call Me Lord topping the weights on a mark of 160, this leaves ample opportunity for other well handicapped horses to exploit. I am definitely with Unison, at a top price of 16/1 with Betfair and Corals.
Non runner unfortunately, or not declared rather.
