As a few of you might have guessed I've been a bit stressed lately , redundancy etc . etc . I decided to cheer myself up with a massive shopping spree last week and it worked I bought a set of GHD straighteners during the decadence and I just wanted to tell the girls that they're the best thing I've ever bought . Don't be put off by the price . You won't get anything that performs half as well . They're a great tool and highly recommended

I bought myself a pair of Babylis ceramic straighteners a few weeks ago - now all I have to do is get the time to practice!! They seem to work really well though - i think the fact that they make my hair have a huge wave in it rather than be straight is operator error through lack of patience.......

Solerina, I have the opposite problem as my hair is dead straight and I would love thick, curly hair like you and spend all my time getting even a kink in it.

Really sorry to hear about your redundancy and I hope you find work soon.

Ditto Kathy - I would LOVE to have naturally curly hair! If I manage to get a curl into it, it starts to drop almost immediately and doesn't last.

Hope you find something you will like doing soon, S.

Brian, think you're confusing them with GHB (a tranquiliser to the best of my knowledge).
The shop up the road sells GHD straighteners but i daren't ask how much they cost, keep getting told i could straighten out the curls at the bottom of my hair if i used them but i dont think it would.

    Glad you're enjoying them.

Men just don't always realise the sheer trauma we have to endure to look lovely do they! Not that we do it (just) for them of course....

Thank you for the kind wishes . What sort of company makes you redundant on Dec 29th I don't mind . I get a really good redundancy package (enough for a deposit on a house) There are alot of companys who want to hire us (are they wise ) Abbey National and Halifax are interested . There are about 20 of us who would walk into those jobs but we don't know what to expect , so we're a bit cagey. My spree did me the world of good apart from emptying one bank account That's what it's all about Cheers guys for putting up with my bad moods lately . Things that I would normally let go just seemed to occupy greater status than they deserved .I'm in much better form after that :P
