I've been trying to change my avatar and it's just not having it. I've enlisted the help of the amazing trig and even he can't get it to work. I now need to contact Col. Has anyone had the same problem?

What is the connection between 'Ballad of John and Yoko' and the Wings 'Band on the Run' album?

Well, at least Brian is no longer posing as Del-boy posing as an overpaid, over-sexed, ocean-going playboy ...

    :P
Man: Do you get wafers with it?

Salesman: Course you don't get bloody wafers with it, it's a bloody albatross isn't it ...

That was the IG advert suggested by someone else - I've been trying to get rid of it and in the end had to get Col to help as it wasn't accepting any replacements

Just in case anyone was interested the connection was as follows:

The Ballad of John and Yoko was recorded whilst Ringo was filming the Magic Christian and George was on holiday. So McCartney had to play all of the instruments that Lennon couldn't play, which was most of them. So Macca played drums among other things. This was a little surprising seeing as eight weeks previously they had been at each other's throats during the 'Let It Be' sessions.

Band on the Run was recorded in Africa, shortly after most of Wings had split. So Macca had to play all of the instruments again, including the drums. The result was perhaps the finest Beatle solo album - certainly Macca's best effort.

I was interested, thought maybe one of the "prisoners" had been involved in some way. Now I'm off to think up more Beatles trivia questions.

    Ok one for you.

Which was the last Beatles album to be completed?

I'm not talking about compilations or remixes or any of that shite.

Does adding strings count as a remix?

If so, then it would be Abbey Road.

The last track that they ever recorded as a group was I Me Mine so I'm guessing the answer is Let It Be.

    Here's a couple for starters.

What is the link between "All You Need Is Love" and Carly Simon's "You're So Vain"?

How did the Beatles achieve the "sounds like I'm singing from the top of a mountain" effect witnessed on "Tomorrow Never Knows"?

Abbey Road was the last to have ben completed. It just happened to have been released before Let It Be.

It's frightening that it was almost 35 years ago.

    Crikey.

Did George play on Badge? Nothing to do with Blue Peter I presume.

Was the drummer on Love me Do Andy White or Alan White? I think that Ringo played the LP version.

Come and get It was the Badfinger song.
