I think this might be a landslide but if you were an American faced with the polls who would you choose ? On one side you have ex vietnam vets trying to discredit the democrat hopeful and on the other Michael Moore is screening his movie nationwide . I'm trying not to to show any bias

I have voted but will not reveal how, so no one will ever guess.

A bit like the Tommo poll.

A lot of armchair lefties treat politics like a game and are content to childishly heckle and make smartarse remarks - Michael Moore is actually trying to change the shape of USA politics and materially affect an election result: top geezer. B)

Nader for president, Kerry for holidays.

    (Not very original, I know)

I would agree with your Michael Moore comments Ian . Don't get me wrong , I invited this discussion but I'm torn because if I support his views on America but disagree on his views on N. Ireland there is no pat answer to the problems here .

Ralph Nader, who has less chance of winning than Stephen Hawking has of riding the Grand National winner, put Bush in the White House by standing last time. Even this mob would have had trouble fiddling the vote if you assume, quite reasonably, that the Nader votes in 2000 would have gone to Gore had Nader not stood.

He is in danger of keeping Bush in the White House this time - Ralph, why are you doing it?

Kerry looks like a replica of Bush to me. I want a "Don't give a toss" option. It's a pity we have to wait so long to get the Clintons back in the White House.

very tipical of people like you in these subjects.

If Bush wins (that is going to be the case) he fixs the elctions if not all were right.

    tipical sentence of socialdemocrats:
"you can think what you want but always you think the same as me"

I know there are here in the forum and in many democratic countries people that think Bush is the devil and they enjoy with Chavez,Castro,Sadam.....but I would like them to go to live to Cuba,Venezuela or Iraq.

I didnt like very much what Bush did in economy but to vote Kerry is what terrorist want, this would reivindicate what they do and would be like choosing our stupid prime minister Zapatero but in a bigger scale.

suny, I have probably bored people on here to tears with facts about how the 2000 US presidential election was not conducted honestly and fairly and will not bother to post the same information again.

It remains my belief that the Bush administration is a serious threat to us all because of:

    (1) Its defence policies

    (2) Its economic policies

    (3) Its environmental policies

Quite possibly, the most dangerous of these long-term is the last.

I don't mind in the least being called a social democrat - I've been called far worse , but I'm not sure that's how I could best be described. There's probably only one instance where I would agree with the late Charles de Gaulle and that's when he said: "I have come to the conclusion that politics are too serious a matter to be left to the politicians".

Bush is the scariest US president since Reagan. But why vote for Kerry? His position on Iraq is just as compromised, he has used just as many military images in his campaign as Bush, he reserves for the US to act unilaterally, just like Bush. Besides all that, he's a wooden plank.

Suny, I thought that Chavez had just won a free vote on whether he should remain in power? Do you not accept the result of that vote?

Suny it is perfectly acceptable to kill or starve your people, to have them living in fear for their lives, to rape and pillage and do whatever the hell you want to them, as long as what you do doesn't have the word 'war' at the end.

    grey

    About Reagan
he was the best president of Usa in 40 years.
In economics was fantastic and he won the cold water,I know there are people who think Comunist were the good ones but not me.

    About Chavez
I have some friends living there, one of them his father was killed by Chavez people last year , and have told me what is happening there and it is a pathetic situation.
I know you will say he won a clean referendum(the great Jimmy Carter said it )
He is a Castro in potential and the way he bought votes of poor people and how nationalized some colombians is simply pathetic.
the private property doesnt mean anything for him and is a danger of inestability for the zone.

About Usa acting unilaterally, this is one the stupid things people against Iraq war say, more than 30 countries were there, yes but the world should do what France says and we all have to adore Arafat.....
