    2 Mile Chasers 21/22

Don't think there is a thread

    Ergumene excited me today

Forget what I said about him maybe needing 3 miles

Jumps great and Idenify Thief put it tohim today and look how that ended for him

For Ergumene, I hope Christmas at Leop doesn't come too soon
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Energumene was real exciting. Good to see after how disappointing Chacun was yesterday.

The races in Ieeland are so hard these days. Thought it was a brutal test. Notebook finished drunk. SIzing Pottsie tried to pick up the pieces and finished drunk. Super performance. You'd expect him to be feeling it though and he will do well to improve on it in three weeks time.

Looks like the handicapper has left Greaneteen on 167 after the Tingle Creek. That's effectively saying nothing else ran its race. I'm not sure about that. It probably won't bother Nicholls too much as the horse won't be going for any handicaps but I'd have thought a wee nudge up the way would have been in order.

Changed my mind on this. Had he put Grenateen up who he has alread rated too highly say 9lbs to 177 he would be 8 lbs ahead of Shishkin.......Quite simply the hadicapper never allowed for the fact Altior ran like a cow when Grenateen beat him now he's put himself in the shi** Echoes of how Master Minded became the highest rated chaser in training ahead of Kauto Star and Denman

Appreciate It to miss a couple of weeks training owing to a minor setback and will stay over hurdles this season.

All systems go for Shishkin on Monday:

“We’ve had a good week with Shishkin and have decided we’ll run on Monday (now that Willie hasn’t declared any of his)”.

NB: I may have embellished the quote a little.

I spoke to Nico de Boinville briefly today

We parked up and he was just getting out his car 1 row in front of us

    "Hows Shishkin Nico?"

    "Hopefully alright" he replied

I didn't like the word 'hopefully'
