The very fact he is stretching this out is bad news for racing.

He might pick up the odd spare no one else wants to ride if he did come back
but it's no longer about who's right and who's wrong

overall most owners and trainers will turn their backs on the guy as they wont want their name associate with him

His career is over as a jockey either way.

Bryony six wins from her last 50 rides -her career could go downhill fast.

Nicholls, Lucy Wadham and Neil King her 3 main suppliers of winners are all having lean spells atm

This probably explains the low strike rate

Exactly and Robbie Dunne would have loved to have a 12% strike rate!

Of course he’s appealing - he doesn’t think he’s done anything wrong.

At the time I posted, I thought the time limit in which to appeal had more or less expired.

What is notable is that an appeal to the Board is by way of review rather than rehearing save in exceptional circumstances- so it will review the case on the evidence heard before the Panel . Although he has appealed against both finding and penalty it is notable also that he has not sought a stay of the ban. This would tend to suggest they think his best chance is of a reduction in penalty.

Makes perfect sense. The ban more or less ends his career, any reduction gives him a chance.

Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Fair play to him, it shouldn't have been the end of his career.

That should not be read as my condoning his actions - a lengthy ban was right but everyone deserves a second chance after they've fucked up.

True. Hopefully he will have a more considerate attitude as a result of this.

Agree with you there,,,,compared to the Rossa Ryan elbow incident this was childs play and the Frenchy because of his status got away witha 90 days ban and now he thinks it's ok because he paid some expenses.

But he got a second chance without hesitation so Robbie certainly qualifies for his....
