    Glorious Goodwood 2021

Start the ball rolling with a bet in the 1st race.
Migration is a lightly raced 5yo which had good handicap form until diappointing in a classy Newbury contest in September 2019, a race which apparently cost his manhood. Not seen again until this June , when running a fair race in good company at Salisbury, over a distance probably short of his best. Won't mind the likely ground, but has an iffy draw to overcome, but the booking of Wm Buick is encouraging, and he's well capable of doing that. Not a stats person, but interesting to note that no older horse has won this in the past 10 years.
Have taken the 6/1 with B365.

Apologies; didn't realise there was already a thread started - have tried canelling this one, but to no avail. Can a mod almalgamate the 2?

I'll take you guys on with Lucander.

He's now dropped a couple of pound in the handicap so maybe he can come back to best form. 14/1 is too big to miss.

Hope you've got him ew, Marb.
Think Space Blues a good thing for the Lennox, with no gp1 penalty.
Have pushed the boat out at 2/1, though he's still 5/2 in places.

Tuesday’s second race is one I’m looking forward to, not as a betting opportunity but as a clash between two young horse with a lot of potential. I said before that I think Berkshire Shadow was the horse to take from the Ascot meeting. He really impressed me but he’s up against the horse who I considered as one to take from the Newmarket meeting. Will probably have a small bet on BS but I like Lusail a lot. A race I would liked to watch from the stands.

In case you aren't aware, Paddy Power are doing a money back as a free bet if your horse loses on that race. Only up to a tenner but better than nothing

Well done Migration backers. Lovely winner.

In the Lennox, I've taken Space Blues at 3/1 and Safe Voyage ew (4places) at 6/1. I never thought I'd get 3/1 about Space Blues and don't think he'll mind the ground too much. I'm assuming the drift is down to the ground and I reckon it's 3/1 he doesn't mind it, which strikes me as very fair.

The ground won't be a problem for Safe Voyage and I'm very surprised any bookie is going four places.

Buick has been riding impressively lately and I'm a fan but he was very poor on Space Blues there.

I had Kinross on my sporting bet Yankee there.

He's improved again after the gelding op.

I wouldn't understate him next time out, wherever that may be

Most unsatisfactory race. Safe Voyage fucked it at the start and like DO said awful ride of Space Blues.

Sir Ron P I can't see staying the Goodwood Cup trip. Attractive place lay.

1.50 Chase The Dollar looked like he's still learning his trade and taking his time to come to hand this season, but carries a very low weight here and is the type to out run these odds wearing the first time cheekpieces.

Space Blues barely gets 7f, and no surprise he was ridden to get the trip, in that ground.

He got the trip fine at Haydock last year. A far stiffer track. It was a bad ride.

He was murdered at the start, sandwiched and squeezed out between the horse's either side of him in the gates.

'Far stiffer' by 0.7 secs, on g/s rather than today's midden.
