They can't run these days if there's a firm or a soft in the going report.

If there's a form angel then Zoltan Star should be home and hosed in the 4.15 today: 2nd in THAT Windsor maiden.

Well that's the level of that form then, as Zoltan Star is only a narrow third at Chester to Mercurial.

Ribchester gets his first winner when Dascombe's Flaming rib goes in at Nottingham.

Harmony Rose who was 3rd In Elliptic's race finished in exactly the same place at Cork.

That's the first UK winner for Ribchester but he's already had a decent winner in the US.

No new FSS winners in UK and Ireland over the weekend. El Kebier did get his first win in Italy.

    Monday

That young Mr Boughey had another 2yo winner, at Windsor. when Ardad's Beautiful sunshine won a Fillies Maiden.

    Yes, ticking over nicely.

Very in and out as a racehorse. If I remember suited by Soft ground, which his produce haven't seen much of.

)ne would imagine this filly, Ruthin, could be Royal Ascot bound.

Presumably named after the small town in Denbighshire. Remarkable that the American commentator pronounced it correctly as 'Rithin'.

No FSS winners Wednesday though AOB put out a promising War Front colt called Yet, who's out of a Galileo half-sister to Giant's Causeway.

The 150-1 Windsor maiden winner Arboy Will steps out again in the first at Salisbury: looks a tough second run against some likely types. Plenty of FSS runners today at Salisbury, York and Newmarket.

Arboy Will didn't enter the stalls and young George Boughey had another 2yo winner with FSS Ardad's Superior Force. Boughey/Ardad and indeed Rossa Ryan seem a winning combination at the moment. Looking at his team in Horses in Training he has 27 2yos but none of them listed as being by Ardad. Presumably some of the winners he has had were purchased at the Breeze Up Sales.

The first 6f race for 2yos in Britain was run today and won by 28-1 shot Lusail who fluffed the start yet came round the whole field to win cleverly. Hannon's colt is by last year's FSS champion Mehmas and looks to have some ability.

FSS Ribchester had his second winner when Hannon's Gisburn stormed to a 6 length win at Newbury. Sounds as if he is Coventry bound.
While at Hamilton Tipperary Sunset kept things ticking over for Ardad.

I am wondering if today is the day for Geodesic (Navan 1.55). He made a promising debut at the Curragh when the stable's second string. The grey Caravaggio colt was given an 'educational' introduction, missing the break, making gradual headway throughout the race and finishing well to finish fifth just under 5 lengths behind the winner. 25/1 on debut he is available at 3/1 at the moment.

When you see where he came from you have to be mightily impressed.

    Geodesic disappoints, a rather distant 5th @ 9/4jt.

Three quickfire FSS winners today. Burke's Sophie's Star gave Cotai Glory another winner at Thirsk. In Ireland AOB had another Caravaggio winner when The Entertainer won at Navan while young Mr Boughey had another winner, this time with the Aclaim filly Cachet. This winner won easily and gave Aclaim his first win.

The two 2yos that made big impressions last week (to the pundits) were Hannon's Gisburn and Boughey's Cachet. Both are by FSSs.
