Im going on Saturday, first jumps meeting since Cheltenham last year

Ground could be too lively for Bristol and a few of the others

A Plus Tard is the right favourite but Minella Indo and Put The Kettle ons runs are putting me off backing Henry's first time out

Will see how the grounds riding before having a bet

Good entry list. Henry's fto put me against APT mind
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

A Plus Tard has run 2nd FTO for the last 3 seasons. I suppose that could be an indication he will need it but Henry's such a good trainer he's bound to have him well prepared if he runs.

There's just something about this race that brings the best out of Bristol De Mai who has beaten some of the best horses in training at the time round there.

If Venetia's horse was trained elsewhere, he'd be shorter

But I reckon he goes off short as most of the tipsters will put him forward

Take A Plus Tard out, and I think it's a pig of a race, tbh.

It is a grade 1 and doesn't have Kauto/Cue Card but for a modern Saturday chase in the UK it's pretty competitive and has enough intrigue that I will want to see it

A course specialist v the GC runner up and a horse that I'm hoping can improve in RP.

I ahve flirted with APT bing a superstar at stages (now I think he is very good but won't be great for what its worth)

I said good and not great so will stick with it

I think I'm gonna chance Next Destination at 6/1. The NHC is working out really well and of course he's in the best hands.

APT is priced a bit tight for his seasonal debut and the Bristol may have won this on good ground back in the day but that was a while ago and his main victim was Native River who would have needed a much stiffer test that day.

I'm a big fan of CSL and took 66s for the Gold Cup about a month ago so a good run on Saturday (doesn't have to win) will be welcome.

First Grade 1 staying chase of the season, PJ, and of the nine runners only three are younger than 9yo - and one of those has come over from Ireland.

The highest rated English horses (at 166) are 11yo and 10yo respectively. It’s a joke.

Where is Champ? Where is Chantry House?

Maybe the Irish keep serving the English their holes at Cheltenham, because their horses are battle-hardened through actually fuc*king racing, rather than going stir-crazy in their boxes at Hendersons?

Nicky has become almost a full pantomine figure

Who takes over the yard when he is gone?

Does make you laugh, last year he wouldn't run Altior because of "heavy ground", now for the first November in a few years we get some decent ground and yet again his horses are absent.

That said I think this was never Chantry House's target, he goes to the King George and I'm pretty sure he said yesterday Champ had missed some work and is likely to line up in the Many Clouds chase at Aintree next.

Back to this race though, I share most peoples concerns about A Plus Tard needing the run, and as Euro alludes to his price is tight enough.

I may well back Imperial Aura if I bet in the race.

I like the angle of ND but what would your tissue price be on him

I'd make him a 9/2 shot and push BDM out to 4s. I can't have him on reasonable ground at this stage of his career.
