Aye. but would you think so, if you'd run into a wayward horse, and your bike was written off in the process?

That might be a fair point, had Bryony horse been wayward enough to cause an incident and had Robbie Dunne's horse run into it.

Then again you agreed that "that any drift to the left is imperceptible" in this following incident from the summer https://www.theguardian.com/sport/bl...ver-10-day-ban

So, who knows. Imagine if Bryony was riding that one.

Wish you'd stop making stories up to suit your own narrative.

*aftertimer alert* I backed On the Blind Side and am very ambivalent towards Bryony but thought she gave him a fantastic ride.

And the ride Nico gave the winner?

Was excellent. I thought both of them rode great races and while they were clearly on the best horses, used that and their assured stamina to their advantage.

Race of the (admittedly average) day for me.

The brother was on the phone straight after the race to discuss it. Neither of us had a bet in the race. He was wondering about why LR was ridden that little bit wider.

I said she was either asked to or decided the ground might have been slightly better out there.

I said I thought the two jockeys were absolutely brilliant.

    It's a game of opinions.

It's a good race to watch back for sure. Fair doos to the winner, cracking ride.

Not a huge fan of all the noise around BF, but she was really good on LR. She is good at her day job.

Great stuff from Bryony there giving her horse time to recover after that potentially race-ending blunder

Beautiful ride. Interesting they made about the sun. It could well have been a factor.

Don't want to put all the females into the same category, but rather than starting a new thread....I thought the ride Brigit Andrews gave Favoir a class ride at Haydock (no financial involvement) but horse not helping on the run - awkward head carriage and wanting to lug in behind - have seen many jockeys get that wrong. Thought it was a class finish.

All the other's jumped it perfectly well. It was an uninformed throwaway comment from MF and will no doubt help the ongoing drive to sterility in sport.

    Yours, grumpily,

I thought that was an absolutely brilliant ride...I think by her reaction , her heart was in her mouth that she was actually going to get there.

They said the owner not keen on the GN but, and I know easy to say as not my horse but oh go on! PLEASE!! If ever a horse deserves a go at it. Can you imagine the reaction if a crowd could be there to see it? Could be one of the most remembered days in NH racing history.

I actually assumed he’d been moved to the Nichols yard so that Bryony could ride him in the National. It just seemed to me that they are a perfect combination for the race. Other than that I don’t understand why he would have been switched. Venetias owners are usually pretty loyal to her.

I think I remember something being written at the time it was just to give a change of scene/freshen him up etc.
