    Leopardstown & Limerick Christmas meetings

PP betting indicates that Mullins runners in the Savills will be
    Janidil
    Kemboy
    Melon
    Tornado Flyer

All cut or static in the betting today.

Allaho, ABP and Asterion Forlonge all on the drift.

ABP back to Thurles but none of that information is new.

Willie's had a session at the Curragh yesterday.

With what the next 10 days could bring, 5k might be as good as it gets

Because he has the chance to make it 4, yes FOUR, Savills Chase a few days later.

    Greatness awaits.

Irish racing fans seeking uninterrupted coverage of the jam-packed December 26 action have had their Christmas wish granted as Racing TV has confirmed the one-off return of a free-to-air, dedicated Irish racing service on Sunday.

With a total of eight meetings scheduled for Racing TV on the day, viewers can watch only the action from Leopardstown, Limerick and Down Royal on the FreeSports channel.

This free service will be available in Britain and Ireland through Sky HD (422) and Virgin TV (553), and also available on the Racing TV Extra facility for subscribers.

Expected to get under way at 11.30am and run until 4.00pm, the fully dedicated Irish channel will be hosted by Gary O'Brien.

A similar initiative was rolled out for the same date in 2019. It's understood this was not called on last year due to just five meetings being shown on Racing TV on the day, with fixture changes arising as a result of the pandemic.

Viewers in Ireland will also be able to follow the festive action on RTE for each of the four days at Leopardstown and Limerick.

Starting at 1.00pm, four live races will be broadcast each day from Leopardstown on RTE2 before coverage concludes at 3.15pm/3.20pm.

Both the Boylesports Faugheen Novice Chase and O'Kelly Brothers Demolition Hurdle will be shown from Limerick on December 26, while the Lyons of Limerick Jaguar Novice Hurdle is the only Limerick event to feature on the December 27 broadcast.

December 28 sees the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Dawn Run Mares Novice Chase and Tim Duggan Memorial Handicap Chase feature live on RTE before the concluding afternoon of coverage shows the BoyleSports Sporting Limerick Hurdle.

According to a spokesperson for RTE, the broadcaster's coverage over the four days will include insight from Ruby and Ted Walsh, Barry Geraghty, Jane Mangan, Lisa O'Neill, Katie Walsh, Brian Gleeson, Richard Pugh and host Hugh Cahill.

What's happening with the Limerick Grade 1, has it been re-opened? I'm seeing just four with prices next to their names on the RP Site.

Lieutenant Command at a big price would interest me for the Faugheen. Beat Max Flamingo very cosily who was beat a similar distance by Gabynako, both giving Max 5lb in the process.

Gabynako chucked away the Drinmore after that , making a right mess of the final two, which is him in a nutshell at this stage of his career. Lieutenant Command yet to appear again, but made all and jumped very nicely on debut.

Gabynako is 2/1 and Lieutenant Command 20/1. Happy to throw pennies at that.

I'm a big fan of Farouk D'Alene and will be disappointed if he doesn't win the Faugheen (for all that I don't think we'll see the best of him until he's upped in trip to 3m).

Energumene not declared for the G1 2-miler on 27th December. Chacun Pour Soi and Envoi Allen set to clash (Battleoverdoyen and Sizing Pottsie the other declared runners).

No Kilcruit in the Future Champions Novice Hurdle.

I might have a bet on Sams Profile as a longshot bet in the Christmas Hurdle, (decs not in yet). He was a late withdrawel from The Morgiana I think it was this season and also taken out of the Stayers Hurdle in last seasons Cheltenham Festival so he may have had problems but hopefully still retains his potential.

He has got some decent bits and pieces of form and maybe he can find a few more pounds that is necessary. He is very lightly raced over hurdles now just about to turn 8 years old...so its still possible he has a career best in him.

If he goes off 33s or thereabouts he will be classed as one of those 'I have seen worse 33/1 shot' bets.

Envoi Allen over 2m against Chacun Pour Soi.

Surely Envoi Allen gets outpaced in this?

Entered over 2m4f on 29th Dec and on 2nd Jan, maybe they're thinking Ballymore.
