I've backed Lisnagar Oscar today, huge price, current champion and definitely needed the Wetherby run.

Hurrah! A mention at last. As you say, he did win the damn race and merits a thought.

Fascinating race. The plan is for the Long Walk after this all being well for TH. Whether he's good enough first time up today we shall see.

The winner did it well, bit of a joke the first half of the race.

Good performance but with the extra stamina required in March and the uphill finish, minus the 3lb weight concession, I'd still want to be with Paisley Park for all Thyme Hill clearly has more scope for improvement.

I'm pleased to see the TV people going overboard about Thyme Hill. It looked to me like Paisley Park is the one to take out of the race. A perfect comeback without being given too hard a time of it. Other than that, the race was a complete joke.

Fvck alone knows what Power was up to on VDF but the fact that he made no effort to gee the horse along when they closed him down makes me think there was a problem.

So what's the craic on Honeysuckle versus Fury Road and Ronald Pump over 2M4F on Sunday. What do we think, is the jolly a steering job?

Yeah. Hoping might get some evens about her but doubt it

I'd fancy Ronald to pump Fury in a match. I'd need to check up on Honeysuckle.

Thyme Hill did it well, but Paisley Park showed he still has something about him too.

Hard to be dogmatic about whether form will/won’t be reversed next time - just good to see two decent stayers expose last season’s Cheltenham form, for the fraud that it was.

There will hopefully be some good scraps between this pair, through the course of the 3m Grade 1 hurdles this season.

It may have been an upset but the winner hinted at something similar on Trials day and was well suited to the fierce end to end gallop, so looking at the current prices after today's race, I wouldn't want to be Paddy laying him at 50/1 for a repeat. That's a big over reaction.

On his day Lisnagar Oscar is around the 160 mark. He should be paying to get in the gate to watch a proper Stayers' Hurdle.

We've been here before, DO, but I couldn't have him close to 160.......probably won that Stayers running to no more than 155 (imo).......it was a kharsi of an event, with Paisley failing to give him running.
