No chance for Frodon with so many fences taken out. Shouldn’t have been surprised really having seen several hurdles dolled off in the previous race

As a Native River backer I wasn’t happy with the missing fences, he was taking lengths out of them. Still a decent reappearance, especially with the Tizzard horses maybe not quite at their best.

It's nearly 12 months now that Tizzards have been misfiring, couldn't back any of his with any confidence.

Take LVL out of the race and you'd say it was a very satisfactory return relative to Native River for Santini given he was struggling with a mile to go but the form might just be worth treating with caution. I'll look more closely a the numbers during the week.

Race is for tossing in the bin I reckon, DO. I don’t think you’ll learn anything from analysing it.

I always like to think I'm learning something, even it's just that I wasted my time

Santini was hit more times than a school dunce and couldn't pass a horse running on empty......

He could run into a place again but he's one of those who lacks the class it takes

Monalee ran a big race just behind the winner last time 50/1 seems very generous

Grassy is spot on. Santini looked half fit and was lazy as hell. The lack of fences also turned large parts of it into a flat race. Lake View Lad winning also tells you that it’s best to wipe it from your memory because it’ll have no bearing on anything.

many believe santini was inconvenienced by a relatively slow run gold cup last year but im not so sure the usual gold cup where they wind up the pace more and more on the 2nd circuit will help him. could see him being struggling to keep up and lose sight of the leaders round the back/coming down the hill and then stay on. probably a solid e/w bet for a place at the right price but getting to the point id want double figures.

Champ not going to Ireland. Imagine my shock at that news.

    Henderson is becoming increasingly laughable.

Where does Champ go? Presumably Cotswold Chase?

Henderson now suggesting Champ may run over hurdles next, as the Costwold and Denman Chases might not be suitable for one reason or another.

    I genuinely despair.

Saw on Twitter someone had a large wager on Champ in the Stayers Hurdle.

It's like Presneting Percy all over again!
Surely the fact they are running Santini in the King George would suggest Champ would run in the Cotswold?
