However, I called to book hospitality posing as a non-member. They are so far using the Panoramic Restaurant and the Gold Cup Restaurant, and said they would open up more facilities if/when they have numbers to support it, and they will put me on the waiting list as a non member and call me after prioritising members in hospitality first. You, I, and any general member who hasn’t booked hospitality will go into the ballot after hospitality has been filled with members and non members. If they open up another restaurant this will also come off the ballot numbers. Memberships have also gone up from 4500 to over 6000 since the announcement, so a a few thousand will be vying for a few hundred tickets, and the racecourse will have non-members in there.
Really? If true that's **** for members. It's not what the corporate affairs correspondent from the jockey club said yesterday on Twitter which makes it more confusing.

Cheltenham Racourse is being seriously considered as a mass covid vaccination centre, which depending when any such system begins, may affect either one or both of the two January meetings and of course the Festival. Whether all or part of the racecourse is unclear but I suspect the Centaur may be one option which could be utilised with racegoers using the Hall Of Fame entrance and the North entrance. The Jockey Club and the NHS are holding discussions this week.

The large car park adjacent to the Newton stand at Haydock has been a testing centre since early May!

I can confirm that I have just had a call from the hospitality team at Cheltenham offering me hospitality as a 'non-member' for Saturday, prior to the ballot for members.

I still haven't had a response from the racecourse management after my complaint 5 days ago!!!

Plus the Honeysuckle effect too, no doubt.

De bromhead suggested they were leaning towards the champion after yesterday. Decision to be made after Irish champion.

Not reckon she goes to Champion Hurdle? Seen that mentioned today. Don’t think so myself.

Makes a certain sense. If she beats the likes of Abacadbras, Saint Roi and others in Leopardstown, she’ll be more than entitled to have a pop at Epatante off level weights.

If Honeysuckle went into the Festival sporting the scalps of Abacadabras and Saint Roi from the DRF, I doubt Epatante would be doing a whole lot of laughing before the Champion Hurdle. I’d expect it to be a right race, tbh.

I just don’t expect Honeysuckle to win at the DRF, and she’s a nap to run in the Mares as a result.

Would she? On form lines you can make a argument for both. IMO its a tight call and could go either way depending on the day. If one was 2 or 3 times the price of the other I know which one would carry money.

Been going to the Festival 40+ years and a member for 10+ years. Have not renewed membership this year and will decide whether to commit to accommodation before Christmas. My experience last year was not one I would care to repeat and dominates my memory of the week pushing the performances of the horses to the back of my mind. I'm almost always in the Insurance Bar/seats but that has now become pretty expensive for 4days and although it should be a fixed number there seems to be more and more people every year. I'm swithering at the present time.

I think so. Clearly if she takes care of SR and Abra then the laugh may change to a chuckle.

Darver Star being the form line, clearly Honeysuckle has a bit to find on the Irish/English Champion hurdles with Epatante.
Can't see them not going for the Mares again with Honeysuckle.

There isn't much between them on ORs but at 2m I would have to agree.

Ratings may not have much between them but think Epatante deals with her easily in a Champion.
