I watched Joseph O’Briens Instagram story today and it showed his Cheltenham runners. One of them stood out on how well he looks. So I thought, OK shrewdie, use your knowledge and back it.....it was A Wave of The Sea......fav for the
Paddy Power Plate on Thursday Typical!

Anyway it looks fantastic so it definitely gets a tick from me....did we mention it last night in the chat room?

I remember a year ago, connections wouldn't run If The Cap Fits in the Stayers, after he dissapointed in a prep run beforehand.

A year on, new owners, now reverting back to hurdles.

He did beat Roksana and Apples Jade giving them both weight in the Liverpool Hurdle over 3M before that which is really smart form. He stayed the trip well enough that day.

I wasn't considering betting in this race, due to how competitive it looks, but I think If The Cap Fits is the one at the prices.

    Maybe 25s is value?

The going remains soft, good to soft in places for day one of the Cheltenham Festival.

The ground eased from good to soft following 10mm of rain on Sunday night and no appreciable precipitation has fallen since.

Clerk of the Course Simon Claisse said on Tuesday morning: “We had a very light shower overnight and the going remains soft, good to soft in places. We expect a dry day with temperatures reaching 11 or 12 degrees this afternoon.”

    From RP

The going at Cheltenham on Wednesday will be good to soft all over on all courses after the track continued to dry out overnight.
The official going was soft, good to soft in places at the start of the meeting but was changed to good to soft, soft in places after the Close Brothers Mares' Hurdle on day one.
After walking the course on Wednesday, clerk of the course Simon Claisse said: "We changed it to good to soft, soft in places after race five yesterday and we've had a drying 12 hours since then. I've had a good walk around this morning and have taken the soft places out after that."
Warm and breezy weather on Tuesday had helped to dry the ground, but Claisse did not expect such strong drying conditions for day two.
"It's forecast to be a dry day but not as warm today," he said. "We got up to 17C yesterday and a few of us came away feeling a touch sunburned. It's not as breezy either today. We might even end up with a bit of good in the description at some point."
