Slim the horse shortened unfortunately things don't always go to plan in a race. This is the one reason I dont want to carry on as I get criticism which really pisses me off

Every other card tomorrow can go fu*ck itself off a bridge.

Figuero a good thing in the Prix Murat (15/8 Hills).

Took 9/4 Grass with another 60 boosted to 2.94/1

Also sweet on James Du Berlais if he’s not made too much use of early. 4/1 5 places is bet to nothing.
And Nimes even money is fair

Where did you surface the 9/4, Lee? I got some of mine boosted with Hills to a shade over 2’s, but not all of it.

It didn't shorten. It was a bad read. Move on.

I didn't criticise you. I replied to you well in advance of racing correctly pointing out that this would not shorten and you were reading too much into the 1kg weight difference when the most important factor was the extra half furlong. Your selection had gotten the second best trip on the previous run and finished 3rd so it was always going to be outsider of the 3 with the extra distance.

    Goes off odds-on. Unplaced. FML.

Bring on the Austrian Grand Prix.

Ferrari will win that. Only a case of with which driver.

Being a value merchant myself I might have a bet on Vettel, but I could see Leclerc winning easily.

    Hi Guys(critics)

    Gulfstream

    Race 1: Nenita 2/1
Useful 7 pound buggy claim, well drawn, ran to usefull and respected Poseidon's Princess. Match race with favourite Honest Gal but with the good draw and stalker raced style should be too good here.

    Race 3: Moonstone 3/1
Has a buggie riding claiming 5 pounds(2,5kg). Ran to far stronger than this. A good 2nd two runs back to Awesome Jenny in a $22000 allowance. Should be fitter now after running 6th im a $28000 allowance. With a good draw and like to run with a pace I think she will lead and give them the skip around the bend.

    Race 7: Kroy 9/4
He won on dirt before and because of the weather being forecast stormy and track will probably be moved to dirt sloppy it should not pose a problem to Kroy. He ran on the dirt 10 Nov in a $47000 so this should be a lot easier. He last run being 1st run from a 286 day break where he ran a cracker to Halladay who is well respected beaten only 3L
    MY BEST BET

    Race 10: Wildwood's Beauty 9/2
She is a 1400m specialist, she has finished 2nd in a grade 3 & grade 2. Now she has had a 63 day break having a go in a lot easier company $63000 and Irad Ortiz booked to ride this looks a good bet.

    All the favourites again!!!!!!!!!

Being a value merchant myself, I usually wait for the betting, to establish where the value lies.

Slim, can you elaborate on this?

I don't follow US racing but this kind of comment is always going to pique my interest.

It's all about the pace and what horse gets the best trip. There is no serious punter on US racing that worries about 1kg here or there, it makes minimal to no difference.

Imo, it rarely does on circuits of barely 1m, over shorter trips - no matter where they are

Do you think it's because the tracks are so tight? That would tie in with some of my general theories about the effect of weight.

I honestly don't know. It could be to do with how the grading works which stops the plotting. All I can tell you for certain is US pro punters don't factor it into their handicap.
