PRIDE OF DUBAI Zaffy's Pride (Dundalk) a FSS we've not seen a lot of.
To put Mehmas's feat in perspective, only one other sire, Kodiac (of course), has sired 2yos having more wins this year (41 vs 37): and Kodiac has had more runners .
That's the UK/Ire picture. Meanwhile in France things look very different. Leading FSS is Goken (by Kendargent) who has had 16 wins from 12 winners from 23 runners. Second to Goken asa sire of 2yos is his sire Kendargent. In terms of FSS Shalaa is co-second in terms of wins but way behind Goken.

Colin and I agree that Pride of Dubai challenges the definition of a First Season Sire. This comes about because his first season at stud was the Australian (Aug-Dec 2016) covering season, which is 6 months before the covering season of the sires who produced the 2yos running this season in Europe. We will continue recording his victories.
Given all that he is a fascinating sire being by the USA champion Street Cry out of a Danehill sister to Rafha, who's the dam of both Invincible Spirit and Kodiac.
