    The Cheltenham Bumper 2020

Tout makes a great suggestion elsewhere. I'll start with this one.

The winner has not yet run under rules.

The winner is mentioned in a song made famous by the Statler Brothers.

Are there any facts to show the bumper is the most bet race of the festival?

It's not, it's one of the least bet races at the Festival, by British punters at least.

These are the latest odds on oddschecker, (not necessarily entries !)

Not sure on entry closing date but last season the entries were announced on the last Wednesday in February

I sometimes think that the Brits know the price of everything and the value of nothing. But who am I to say?

The Cheltenham bumper doesn't dominate the calendar the way it used to, perhaps they will consider giving the prize fund another boost. Mares especially have a new bumper at the Dublin festival and other nice races at Aintree and Fairyhouse. The open bumpers at the Dublin and Punchestown festivals are also well up there. The next step is to introduce a proper bumper somewhere in Ireland at Christmas time.
