I couldn't agree more Brian. Santini had the interrupted prep and as a physical specimen he looked sure to improve in his second season over fences. Absolutely built for the job and a real Gold Cup type. Hopefully Nicky won't be overly careful with him though as he could do with the experience though.

Santini was 33/1 for the 2020 Gold Cup the eve before the 2019 Gold Cup.

a clear example of a horse being undervalued following a festival loss. kind of hoping he runs with credit but gets beat a couple of times this season around sharper tracks and he might drift back out a bit.

lostintranslation the other interesting one to me.

Not sure about this. Tiger Roll has always jumped regulation fences really well. Why would that change now?

Very disappointed with Delta Work there. Shoddy round of jumping

    Ran like a drain.

Is rather compact for a Gigi too
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

I hope Road to Respect is given the opportunity to run in his proper race and campaigned to arrive fully loaded come March

What do you reckon his proper race is?

I'd imagine they'll go Lexus - Hennessy - Festival now, but would be interesting to see him pitch up in the King George. I'd have serious doubts that his jumping would hold up though to be fair.

Gold Cup with a bit of soft

Lexus rather than king george. Feb race on tarmac killed him last year

Meades comments about him being 19kg heavier was very interesting. Possibly more to come

The form of Defi and Lostintranslation is getting boosted. Black Op easy winner, Vinndication easy winner, both in competitive races on paper.

Beginning to come round to the idea of LIT for the Gold Cup now.

    Lostintranslation Gold Cup
    Defi Ryanair
    Double incoming.

Being trained in Waterford must be a plus to the chance of the winner!

Not sure what to make of Lostintranslation, personally.

I was taken with Topofthegame, last season, so I'm keen to see how he kicks on this year.

Be interesting to see what the Mullins duo Kemboy & Al Boum Photo have as their first targets.

Beautiful start from the Tizzy horse. Class act this lad.
All comers, all grounds, all beaten!

This perfect mix of poetry and destruction.

He travelled and jumped like what id enjoy from a good 2 miler

I loved that today but with his pace I'm not Cheltenham convinced
