He needs at least three miles. He's got some engine on him that's for sure, kept finding.

Joe saying that first time over fences and he took a while to get the hang of it, and that he definitely needs 3 miles. Probably a good ride in that he, Joe, judged the pace/ground and didn't want to muller him too early on the race, and he does know him. I know Joe has had his issues, but I have a lot of time for him. He needs to get some confidence in himself, if he had more rides it would help him.

I thought that it was a good ride. Previous runs and the cheekpieces indicate that he has a few quirks and he probably enjoys running past beaten horses. The trick is to get him to consistently run past horses that aren't beaten.

There was talk of Samcro and Battleoverdoyen schooling after racing at Punchestown yesterday. Anyone know if it happened and how it went?

Felix Desjy has had a setback and will seemingly return over hurdles this season, if he does so at all. Frustrating.

Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Redzor was brilliant today - jumped like a stag.

Very impressive, could have won by further as well. Certainly straight into the tracker anyway.

Windsor Avenue very impressive at Sedgefield today. You could tell from Ellisons interview afterwards that he has high hopes for him.

Just seen a horse come into the Arkle market, called Five O’Clock. See nothing about him that suggests his head favouritism even this early.

Does anyone know anything about him?

Hope itchy feet jumps a fence better than he did his hurdles yesterday

I am slightly biased towards liking this horse as he beat my BBB in a bumper very impressively in horrible ground, and then couldn't understand the campaign he had...... but glad he has had a good start. Have a lot of time for Brian Ellison as well - through a very long story about a horse a few years ago which won't bore you with.

What a cracking race that was at Carlisle.

Real pity that Good Boy Bobby couldn't hold on but full credit to the front two.

That looked like a savage race. Pretty special for so early in the season.

Good Boy Bobby jumped brilliantly. Brewinupastorm wasn't fluent but he's clearly got gears - 2m4 would seem ideal for him.

Nice 3m novice chase tomorrow at Cheltenham.
Wholsetone the favourite but his jumping was iffy in a two horse race, quite obviously going to his left last time out.

One I’m keen on seeing is Aye Aye Charli. I’m absolutely certain this horse needs fences, often flattered to deceive, but I’m genuinely convinced a big fence will bring the best out of him. One I’ll be watching with interest rather than placing cash on, but a race I look forward to.

Getaway Trump v Al Dancer too. Wouldn't be the biggest fan of starting your 2m chasing career around there. PFN's aren't running particularly well at the moment so would expect Al Dancer to prevail tomorrow but I'd expect Trump to develop into the better chaser in time.
