Geronomo is not apatch on the other one.
"And still they gazed and still the wonder grew. That one small head could carry all he knew.

And that small head knew that Impaire Et Passe would win the Champion Hurdle."

First he thought he was a wigwam, then he thought he was a tepee. The medicine man said he was just two tents...

Back to the race. I've done my first trawl and, having resolved not to bet ante-post again after the Grand National a/p debacle, decided I'd better snaffle 20/1 Cloth Cap before it disappears. I can see this going off at a single-figure price. But my figures say it is a very competitive and classy race.

I did my bollocks on National and have sworn to not even look at the race and be tempted. That and surprising the Mrs with a trip to the Maldives, I’d rather not have any more expensies going out. I’ll wait till Sandown and Punchestown.

Yes what DoubleJ said re lack of testicles but......have just had a look as someone else might be running in a race later that day.......and every time I talk myself out of backing Carole's Destrier, he wins.
    Vote Alfie!!!!

I expected that as soon as it departed early the other day. But Cloth Cap is also owned by Hemmings and it doesn't require much of a stretch of the imagination to see this year's Scottish National followed by a campaign to get him to Aintree next year off 145.

Crosspark is blue across the board this afternoon. This might mean Paul Kealy is headlining him in the Weekender.

Same here. He was awful in the old RP Chase but his previous form is so solid.

For those that haven't seen it, he tips Geronimo as his main selection, followed by Takingrisks. Both 1pt e/w.

But he starts by saying that Talkischeap was his main fancy but is a likely NR

King in the same paper:- "We also have Talkischeap entered, but he'll only run if anything untoward were to happen to Dingo Dollar between now and the weekend."

Careful with any ante post bets on Benny's Bridge in the Scottish Champion Hurdle https://www.racingpost.com/racecards...9-04-13/724162 as trainer has tweeted Sandown in two weeks time a more likely option.

On the up-side, it looks like Cloth Cap will now definitely run in the big one

No going stick reading available owing to a "going stick malfunction" WTF?

I read that they're 'watering to maintain' but there's every chance the ground will be pretty fast over these two days. There's been no rain and lovely sunny conditions with a slight breeze all week. We've had overnight frosts where we are (about 30 miles inland and about 800' above sea level) but I don't imagine they've had that at the seaside.

Certainly anything I back will have form on good ground.

Scottish Champion Hurdle - Irish Roe 33/1 - btn 5L in this race last year now 6lb lower - Jockey does have a bad habit of taking this horse wide and losing many lengths in the process but maybe that is the riding Instructions?
Pluralism of Ideas and the prosperity of any land are intertwined. Freedom of minds and skill of intellect to 'think the unthinkable' is how humanity has progressed; when minds are incarcerated nothing endures.
