    Race of the week?

Which race are you most looking forward to this week folks?
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

It was the Arkle but withdrawals have weakened the race. RSA probably the one now

Gold Cup is race of the week, imo.

A top-class novice in Percy running FTO over fences this season a new staying star in CDO trying to prove his stamina, the current champ back over a trip he needs on a track that suits, two young improvers and an enigma going for Mullins, and of course the prospect of the Biter returning from disappointing efforts and a wind-op, possibly getting his ground.

    What’s not to like?

Yes, the Gold Cup is race of the week for me too. The Champion Hurdle comes next. Third is the Champion Chase, although I hope it's a coronation rather than a race.

On paper, the Festival overall lacks superstar novices and with the season's stop/start nature there are even more uncertainties than usual

Tuesday and Friday are clearly the highlights

I'm going to go with the champion hurdle in the hope that AJ destroys them

Champion Hurdle for me. It’s the best one we’ve had for some time. Champion Chase next, where hopefully Altior gets the credit he deserves by being ranked right up the top with the very best two mile chasers ever. Gold Cup third. A very competitive renewal but I’m not sure we have an out and out star. Only Percy could really prove that wrong I think.

Because you can make a strong case for about half a dozen of them winning it, gotta to be the Gold Cup.

Ryanair - 'cos I wasn't going to go this year at all but booked for Thursday and Friday to see Frodon, whichever day he raced. I really, really hope Bryony can have a winner.

I think the Champion Hurdle has always been the most anticipate race for me bar Sprinter Sacre's runs, Arkle V Mill House and Kauto V Denman
