The older I get the better I was.
Im liking Tiger Tap Tap on the Sunday in the Juveniles. Think he'll reverse the form with Sir Erec. Also think whoever wins this race wins at Cheltenham.
Lunchtime bulletin from the track:
GOING:
Good to yielding (hurdle) and good (chase) after 2mm of rain overnight. Rain and sleet clearing this evening, dry for rest of week. Cold temperatures up to and including weekend with frost at night. Track has been frost free all week. With frost forecast for Friday night, order of running has changed with 3 hurdles first, bumper then 4th, and then 3 chases to finish.

With the weather here now I am finding it baffling that the Chase course is still being described as 'good.' What do I know?
"And still they gazed and still the wonder grew. That one small head could carry all he knew.
And that small head knew that Impaire Et Passe would win the Champion Hurdle."
I know, but despite Met Service hysteria there was not a jot of frost on my windscreen at 6AM this morning and it has been 6 degrees and raining ever since.

The Flogas is an absolute blinder. Can't wait
Alcohol, because no good story ever started with "I was eating this salad..."
In Dublin Chase think Saint Calvados will run well
Is still the most unexposed horse in the race, so each way at 6-1 [Skybet] BOG

Wonder Laish way shorter than i had hoped for
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done
I've taken a stab at Petit Mouchoir in the Irish Champion Hurdle at 16/1. Imo he has an equal chance to that of either Melon or Supersundae who are around the 3/1 mark. He was very keen, being held up the last day for his seasonal debut and I'd expect him to return to being ridden more prominently if considered race fit. He never really got decent ground last season. Over hurdles on good ground he set the pace for the Champion Hurdle which saw Buveur d'air produce his biggest speed figure. He only really faded after the last, a speedier track like Leopardstown should see him produce something better. 2 miles here on good ground, race fit , I figure at the prices he's worth a shot.
