A third FSS winner yesterday and at the same time another 2yo winner for Archie Watson (ex. Stoute) when Above (Anjaal) wins at Chelmsford.

Quite a few FSS winners so far and being liberally sprayed around.

    Catch up

    Wednesday
Tom Tulliver gives Hot Streak yet another at Yarmouth
The thread's favourite FSS trainer has another winner with a FSS when Daredevil (USA)'s son Better the Devil wins at Hamilton. It will be informative to see if all these Watson winners result in a Royal Ascot winner next week (he did get one last year).

Two of the top 3 from last year. The one missing is, the now 100,000€ sire, No Nay Never who came top last year.

Ger Lyons gave an interesting interview afterwards at the track. He says he's been taking his 2yos along more quietly this year, because most of them will be going over 7f and a mile. Nevertheless, out of four to have seen the track so far this season three have won. Tonight's winner had never had an away day or galloped on turf before.

Proportion of winners to runners so far is disappointing for the leading sires apart from Due Diligence and Gleneagles.

Re second season are the No Nay Never stock not training on or is it too early to say ?
You would expect the Kingman and Australia stock to improve with age.

I'm sure you are right but the hike to a fee of €100,000 was a big change. He made his name by getting 2yos but he's had few runners let alone runners this year.

Away from Royal Ascot at Chelmsford, Hard Nut gives Gutaifan yet another win and winner: the number game begins to work.

Plenty of FSS sired 2yos in the Albany.

    Alabama Whitman (Ivawood)
    Diligent Deb (Due Diligence)
    Get the Look (Brazen Beau)
    Graceful Magic (Gutaifan)
    Precious Moments (Gleneagles)
    Separate (Cable Bay)
    Seraphanite (Gutaifan)

But could be one of No Nay Never, Kodiac or Starspangledbanner to win this.

Well it wasn't. Daayeh is a daughter of Bated Breath (by Dansili who is a half-brother to Cityscape (by Selkirk)), a sire who looks good value and has had another winner this week with the useful looking Biometric.

Daayeh herself looks pure Juddmonte (by a Khaled Abdullah sire out of a mare by KA sire from a KA family), although some old b******s on here might notice this filly comes from a wonderful Whitney family. Many will remember the 4th dam Peace and some of her sons (Quiet Fling for example) and her cracking daughter Intermission (for whom a certain Royal trainer will be eternally thankful to the extremely generous Jeremy Tree). Of course the fact that Abdullah went to Tree meant he had the inside track on the Whitney stock when they were dispersed. He has ancestors to Intermission to this day and Charlton must count himself unlucky he isn't training this filly, doubly so when you realise Daayeh's dam resides in the stud of one of his key owners Mr Deer.

Personally I felt that was the most promising 2yo winner of the week. She travelled beautifully, was eyeballed by the 2nd and then came away with very little fuss. She should stay a mile.
