I see Waiting Patiently is lined up for Ascot at the weekend. Given that's less than four weeks from the Ryanair or Gold Cup I presume Ruth is going to against her previous statements that he needs plenty of time between races?!

Either that, or we'll get the news a week before the Festival that he's not recovered and he heads to Aintree for the Bowl or Melling Chase instead.

Hit the nail on the head with the second part of your post I think.

I too am in the Monalee camp, his batting back in last years Flogas was fantastic (looked like he was getting swamped by the others but just pulled away again when they came close to him) and he’s ran into one in Presenting Percy in the RSA last year.

8/1 looks too big even if Min and Waiting Patiently run.

Maybe he won't run this weekend, hope he's been vaccinated in the last six months ?

Knowing how cautious Ruth is he's probably been vaccinated six times in the last six months!

Monalee is a lock if he runs here
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Not much knowledge on his background, but apparently hopeless left handed from what I read. Destroyed some top horses there though.

They say he has to go right handed but showing like that must tempt all

    Some day for Nicholls

Cyrname is some horse to enjoy

Mix of madness and fun. He is a bully.

Would question his longevity with that racing style but enjoy him when he is around

If he could go left handed, I'd be worried with my Monalee dockets.

He would slaughter Monalee if he took that form to Cheltenham.

Paul Nichols back in the big time with some left of field horses, both very young so hopefully years of competitive racing from both.

slowly working his way back. wonder if there's been a change in how he recruits horses in recent years.

Anyone want to guess at what rating they come up with for Cyrname?

There's a less than 1% chance he could replicate that at Cheltenham.

Dunno, but Waiting Patiently was rated 170 after winning it last year, and he couldn't get near him yesterday; neither could the 2 QMCC horses that followed them home. The time was good too, much the quickest chase on the card.
Both trainer and jockey seemed surprised by how much improvement he'd shown, though it's fair to say the writing was on the wall after his previous run. Certainly his fencing was out of the top drawer, in both races.
    He's the real deal, imo.
