    HdB about Monalee:
“He's in the Ryanair and the Gold Cup and we'll work it all out between now and then.
“I wouldn't be leaning any way to be honest. I don't know yet and I'd say the ground will be quite telling.
“We'll see nearer the time and make sure he comes out of this okay. We'll discuss it with the Maloneys (owners) and hopefully we'll make the right decision.”
The older I get the better I was.

"We're in no rush to choose which race he'll run in at Cheltenham. The ground will probably be a factor in our decision."

I do not like the sound of that. That reads like Gold Cup if the ground is on the good side.

Sizing John all over again. Fml

Paul Nicholls on Luck On Sunday says Cheltenham will come too soon for Cyrname as he has been "full out" in his two most recent races. Doesn't rule out trying left handed again in the future.

Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Unlike the vast bulk of your posts, the above looks an original thought, and owes nothing to anyone else.

ps: I ain't your son; doubtful you're even old enough to father one.

    Nightmare scenario:

    Footpad runs in QM
    Min to Ryanair
    Monalee to Gold Cup

Who to take Min, a non stayer, on with?

If Monalee's owners want to go for the Gold Cup and Balko Des Flos' owners want Monalee to go for the Gold Cup, Henry might just take the line of least resistance.

The going is the crucial factor for several horses. If it comes up really soft like last year all the trends go out of the window anyway but it would likely decide the destination of several intermediate horses.

I think it's more than likely that Min will go Ryanair anyway. Not sure about Footpad but it wouldn't surprise me if UDS got another go at the QM.

Ever since Road To Riches got the Ryanair call up by Giggi the year after his Gold Cup third nothing surprises me anymore re running arrangements.
    Going will decide all.
UDS has no business in 2 mile chase on good or in Ryanair on testing ground.
I imagine similarly that Monalee Gold Cup on good/ Ryanair on testing ground.
Min more likely 2 mile bound and Footpad will be hardest to place on this season's form so far.
All will breathe a sigh of relief if Cyrname skips Festival .

Road To Respect now shorter for this than the Gold Cup on Betfair Exchange (according to Oddschecker).

    Not injured just bypassing

Could decide the trainer's title or go a long way to it if he takes on Altior at Sandown
