The Upside ansd Downside of Racing

With prize-money a hot topic, what a fantastic effort from Kelso Racecourse tomorrow. A total of £163,011 (including Grade 2/Listed races worth £60k and £50k) is up for grabs, more than Doncaster and Newbury and without recourse to the safety blanket of bookmaker sponsorship.

    37 declarations.

It must have something to do with horses being vaccinated DG

All the fields tomorrow at every course are on the small side.......Sedgfield could have even less runners on Sunday. One race there has only 1 runner declared.

There are 84 runners declared at Newbury for a 7 race card which is worth about 10% less
