We knew!
Ricci is all spin and no substance in the Racing Post piece. He can dress it up any way he likes. He and his business partners are attempting to walk away from liabilities while still generating a share of the £15m from 888 for their own pockets. In the process they have treated their customers appallingly and shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.
He says the business was solvent, so if that's the case why have they not honoured the bets and continued with a short-term lease back of the platform from 888 whilst taking no new bets?
Perhaps he, Susanah, and the Rooneys will share private dining together at the Festival so they can swap stories of who has mugged racing and racing people the most with smug grins on their faces. I really hope none of these deplorable people have a winner next week.
Ricci himself should also consider that there is the possibility that there will be some very aggrieved punters there next week too. I really hope it doesn't get ugly.

I think that we should know the figures involved, ie:
- number of bets involved with a breakdown to winning and losing bets.
- potential liability of winning bets.
- amount returned for voided losing bets.
The older I get the better I was.
I agree. After the decisions taken here you'd think Ricci would be all over the numbers like a rash Archie. If they painted a picture that gets them off the hook then surely he would have been armed with them and quoting them in the RP.
Hard to know without seeing the figures. They may have had legal advice about how much can/should be revealed before any investigation. I suspect that the figures are not huge.
What I can't accept is that there is a deadline for punters to withdraw money from their accounts. It should be done automatically back to the place from which the funds were deposited after a communication that this will happen on a certain date if no other preference is indicated.
The older I get the better I was.
Ricci has said that exact details of the Betbright positions can’t be made public because it’s commercial and proprietary information. That may be true but it would be good to see the statement backed up by lawyers

If they're ceasing trading, it's hard to see what commercial sensitivity is involved.

It would be nice if they could withhold Ricci's prize money next week until all bets taken are honoured, and not just the Cheltenham ones. Correcct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't such behaviour in the past have lead to him being banned from racecourses?
Introduced a nice one in the beginners chase today
Do wonder what reaction he gets next week and if he goes on TV will they have the impetus to push him for straight answers.
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done
Not running Vautour in the Gold Cup was his greatest crime, as far as I'm concerned.

You did see the Ryanair!
All comers, all grounds, all beaten!
This perfect mix of poetry and destruction.
Disgusting interview
Self serving.
I feel sick. Benie just probably cost me my festival
BDD was tired and would have been all out to win IMO. Ricci had to have something prepared. Worked well that it was on the back of a disappointment.
Ruby wouldnt be thinking about retiring would he?
