    Rich Ricci

A little bird tells me he may make some headlines this season (more than usual that is) but meanwhile didn't realise he has a 4yo at Nicky Richards yard called Wilhelm Vonvenster. Entered in the bumper at Ayr next Wednesday.

Sold in June 2017 as a 3yo for 31,394 dollars, advertised by the yard as for sale and currently listed on the trainer's website as owned by Miss J R Richards who I think is the trainer's daughter, maybe sister ?
A fairly recent purchase for Ricci by the looks.

He has a horse he owns 50% in and one of his own with Nicky aside from.this one
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Interesting comments by him at AIRO Awards night.
Fair dues to him for spreading the cash around.

Unless I'm missing something, has he introduced introduced a promising novice or bumper horse yet this season?

No surprise after his injury Mulllins is taking his time with Annamix who is entered tomorrow and Sunday but over 2m4f..no worries with that they need to get 2m4f to win good 2 mile hurdle at Cheltenham

Most of WPM's recent Supreme horses ran in November/December bar Melon who wasn't seen till mid Jan.

El Barra and Monkfish were his only two buys from the pointing field in 2018.

Never will an owner have a string like ricci did starting off again. Will never see that again so wonder how long Ricci keeps investing on a grand scale

Annamix and Elite Charboniere out for him tomorrow

And never will see such a crop absolutely made of glass. So, so unlucky. As are we, I genuinely believe a few of them them could have gone down in the record books for years to come.

    Vautour
    Faugheen
    Douvan
    Annie Power
And to a much lesser extent VVM.

Outrageous amount of talent wasted their for unfortunate circumstances. Hoping Annamix is every bit as good as the hype suggests. Hopefully not the new Senewalk.

    Elite Charboniere looked hopeless there.

Not sure if anything changed in their buying practices but it looks to be a different type of animal running in them colours these days

18 months of hype for Annamix and comfortably turned over.
