ATR Farewell Tour Of Irish racecourses

Cork yesterday was the last Irish Flat meeting to be covered by Matt Chapman .
He came , he saw a very sparse crowd watch moderate racing but did his best to liven up a dead atmosphere.
He was interviewed on track and told of his sadness at leaving the irish scene behind.
He spoke affectionately of his encounters with Irish racing personalities.
He signed a few autographs on the agreement that he would be dead before we offered them on ebay.
By all accounts he attempted to interview Charles Byrnes today at Clonmel; Byrnes refused on the basis of Matt's comment years ago that Charlie should not be allowed hold a licence.
Catch him at a racecourse near you sometime soon before Brexit Racing hits (or is missing from ) your screens.

P.S. Another celebration of Cork Racing to be held in a Cork City hotel Thursday October 18 .
Last year had Davy Russell raving about Samcro among others so hopefully an enjoyable night ahead.

Keep us posted Eddie on developments down Leeside
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Whiter than white Charles was referring to the Laetitia incident!!

Think Davy could be in line for the Samcro ride, Jack Kennedy has been fairly quiet of late and no surprise to be usurped especially if they decide to go chasing.

Richard Forristal also voiced that fencing was the more likely route in the Rp today.
