Wise decision? If he does stay he'd have as much chance as anyone, really wide open this year.
Very genuine horse and would trust PFN to get a 3 miler ready but cant ever see it being good enough
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Same here. Very good handicapper but found out at G1 level. Tailed off in Ryanair last year.

I think I will grin and bare the ones they do in review of DRF and preview the Festival just to hear Blake but I can't do it anymore and I know wilsonl is of a similar mindset. Completely agree with you though, it feels like Blake just wants Kennedy out as well. Kennedy could do with listening to how other hosts of podcasts host and take note - THE PODCAST IS NOT ABOUT YOU KENNEDY

I'm not sure I can agree, KA.

I think Frodon had a bad day at the office in the Shitebagair and is much improved this season. I don't have my figures to hand for him but he'll be higher than a lot of so-called Gold Cup contenders.

My doubt about him would be his stamina for a Gold Cup.

I'd give Frodon a pass for his poor run in the Ryanair as the Ascot Chase probably took the edge off him.

I was just reading through and was about to post exactly the same thing.

Tout est Permis winning over an inadequate trip really impressed me today.

I love seeing boats of the future win over short trips.

His star is on the rise but talks of the Ryanair are pointless.

Look forward to him getting his trip and conditions in time but def notes as one who wins a race at a big price someday.

Meade has done some job with him and great to see him having a great season.

It's hard to be sure, but Total Recall might have got up were it not for blundering at the last

The Road to the 2019 Cheltenham Gold Cup

That’s the way it looked to me. I was slightly surprised Ruby kicked Paul Townend off after Invitation Only got pulled out and then Ruby did what Ruby often seems to have done and made a mess of the last

Total Recall made a mistake at the fence first time around as well.
Pity as he was staying on .
The winner must be the most improved chaser of this season; hard to equate him with the horse that finished a poor third in a Cork 3 year old hurdle.
    Delighted for Noel Meade.

Tout Est Permis really hit the line hard yesterday.

Handicapper has raised him to 157, are is surely on the upgrade.

Has to come into the equation for the Ryanair on the New course.

Needs a trip and ground on the softer side

Lovely horse for the future. Would worry about him at championship pace on holiday ground over that trip

Soft maybe but trip wise his Leopardstown run over 2m5f last year was as good as he has looked so far

He has ran 3 miles or more 7 times and has only won once

A lot of that family from the damline that Aidan Aherne bred have been most effective with cut in the ground.

His 3 best RPRs have all been at 3 miles which imv is a more accurate indicator than 1 from 7 at 3 miles.

Think he will be outpaced in a good ground Ryanair.

Speaking of the Cotswold and Gold Cup, I see forum member Desert Orchid has backed Frodon for The Gold Cup, in the event he wins Saturday.

I'm actually considering going even further 'left field' than this, because having looked through American's form, I believe that despite his last few awful performances, there is a lot of raw ability in this horse. He's a horse who beat Rock The Kasbah eight lengths while giving him six pounds just under two years ago in March 2017. He has been well fancied in races since then, but simply cannot have been under any circumstances his usual self.

Now returning from a near three month break, not only will I stick him in Saturdays Lucky 15, but I also can't help having an Each Way bet for The Gold Cup at 100/1. The last time I pulled a stunt like this, was when backing Champagne West at similar odds for The Gold Cup, (just before he hacked up in a handicap in Ireland), which from memory was The Thyestes Handicap Chase. Champagne West turned out to be out of his depth on the day and went backwards afterwards, but I got some excellent each way value in any event.

It is a big ask, but yes, I'm having a go on American at 100-1 each way for The Gold Cup.

    From the Weekender twitter feed:
"'I think we should give him credit for what he is and that's a rapidly improving stayer with gears - and that makes him a seriously dangerous beast'

The Gold Cup is next on @PaulKealyRP's hit list in his Cheltenham ante-post series - read his preview in this week's @RPWeekender"

I haven't seen the article but I think we all know who he's talking about.

I would actually fancy the other one more that he was talking about.
All comers, all grounds, all beaten!

Yes. I've got the article. He tips both K (2 stars) and ABP (1 star).
