Gutted but Hardline still available at 25-1 NRNB. Bearing in mind this is the stated target and looking at collateral form with Le Richebourg through Us And Them (also on same hurdles OR as LR) that will have to do as a quick 'off the bench' bet.

Real steel the real deal? Did it very nicely today. Granted not beating much, but I've really liked his last 2 runs a lot. JLT market top 2 unconvincing for me. 10/1 NRNB well worth an EW bet imo.

It's certainly the right race to back an outsider

He will be over bet though and you'll beat his off price by 2 or 3 points
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Straight after the race yesterday I had a decent EW bet on him for the JLT at 16/1 without NRNB protection. At the same time had a small win bet at 55/1 on the machine for the Arkle as a safety net.

Paloma Blue would be my bet in this race

Connections have been quiet on him but if he races this is the ideal race for him

    25s at Boyles is monstorous

His jumping so far has left a bit to be desired especially for a HdeB horse of his stature and presence.
On my short list also since I saw him win his maiden hurdle last year so keep it quiet please !

It's a bad race on paper. He has plenty to come I'd hope

I know Bryan Cooper was very bullish about him (before he lost the Jones job) for the JLT. Going that stride slower will help him (as opposed to the Arkle).

Secret Investor is favourite which I'm struggling to understand. He needs another run to qualify, so if they think he's very good surely they ensure he's tenderly ridden and he then runs off 145 in the novice handicap? I'd expect a significant drift in the market if that's the case.

Otherwise, is he worth a NRNB dabble for the JLT if the price holds up, or is supported further in the morning, just in case he wins and the mark is blown.

Le Richebourg out for the season. Seriously weak Arkle.

3 of the top 4 in the market ruled out in the last 2 weeks. Quite ridiculous really.

    Defi to be targeted here?

Bugger, that hurts. Had him at 10/1 in an e/w treble with Al Dancer at 12/1 and OK Corral at 10/1, plus singles.

    Hopefully he'll come back fine.

    ould mean lots of changes

Defi to Arkle opens up the JLT. You could possibly see:

Arkle - Defi, Lalor, Glen Forsa, Paloma Blue, Knockanuss, Hardline

JLT - Lost.., Topofthegame, Real Steel, Kalashnikov Kildisart, Mengli Khan

Why would topofthegame come back down in trip? Would've thought the RSA was a mortal cert for him.

Agree. 3m round Cheltenham seems ideal for him

Opposition is much lighter in the JLT and I don't like how he finished his race at Kempton.
Santini would have blown by him in another 100yds.
