Are the bookies at it today?

    ... more than usual?

I only looked at three races for today as I'm bodyswerving the Ascot meeting.

    All three are at Newmarket.

    All three are handicaps.

All three had eight runners overnight.

All three have a non-runner this morning.

This cannot be a happy coincidence for them.

It's what happens with 48 hour decs when you have 28mm of rain.

So many these last few days with 7 declared but funnily enough there were no withdrawals

If I fancy an EW on n outsider and the field is reduced from 8 to 7 I am as happy as a pig in ****.

I'll still get the price bookies offer and I'll get on 3 places on Betfair.
