    Towcester Racecourse

Apparently the staff of the greyhound track received emails last night notifying them the track has gone into administration, not sure if this means the whole racecourse is in some kind of financial trouble ?

Hope they can work something out for it - it’s a lovely place

Any idea how they ran into financial difficulties?

I must say I was impressed with Towcester the only time I was there, but that was before they put in the greyhound track and switched their focus.

This article provides what might be at least part of the explanation, but I think greyhound racing politics might provide another part:

It will be a shame if it closed. Haven't been for many years since my mare ran there, but they used to offer free entry for all except 2 days a year ( one was Boxing Day) and even on a very miserable day in February there was a really good crowd there.
