    Bumper Horses 2017/18

Couldn't see a thread and the closing bumper at Ascot tomorrow is worthy of starting one

Didtheyleaveuoutto bolted up in his AW bumper
Gallahers Cross has already been mentioned somewhere on here after his seriously impressive Galway win (subsequently sold to Hendo Grech/Parkin for £260k)
Herecomestheboom and Posh Trish both have decent Cheltenham form
Bullionaire won a strong Newbury race that's worked out well

I know some have no interest, but personally love them, though largely for the future and not necessarily punting. I'm there tomorrow so will probably have a wager on the Fry horse, but as always is price dependent

    Faugheen the Machine
    Once ran in a bumper
I knew then he was great
And would make a fantastic jumper
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

In the far off year of '61
In a Mullingar bumper a horse did run
T'was then the Dreaper eye first sparkled
Cos he knew he now had Mill House Arkled.

There once was a horse called Buveur D’Air,
And whilst racing in bumpers he showed passion and flare.
He won the two in his native France,
But when it came to the ball, boy could he dance.

I think we saw a very smart one in Didtheyleaveuoutto. Slightly awkward head carriage but absolutely dotted up under a super cool Geraghty, even though he was dead on the machine (Betfair SP 17.5). Would be great for Nick Gifford to have a good one

Bullionaire was way too keen and did well to finish where he did and Gallahers Cross also very weak in the betting but ran a tidy race

All worth going in the tracker

I agree with you whole heatedly so much so I couldn't see The Flying Sofa being beat today yet after 4 furlongs I accepted my losses which were considerable and got out early in the run.

I honestly don't think there is a less clueless jockey riding today than Jamie Moore.

He was all over the shop and quickly went from 1.45 to 1.85. One minute he has the horse covered up then he pulls out and show the horse daylight which sets the horse alight again.

He must have done that at least 1/2 dozen times. The guy is handless IMO

I honestly believe if someone like Noel Fehily was on the horse he'd have put him to sleep and won by 5 lengths

There are some very expensive purchases out over the next couple of days. Cracking looking races at Kempton today and Newbury tomorrow.

The previous owner of Beakstown is fairly sweet on his chances of landing the 4.05 bumper at Kempton today. He exchanged hands for something like 480k after his point win at Turtulla outside Thurles in Tipperary last November. I was chatting with him last night and he said the Skeltons think very highly of him and he works very well with some of their better sorts. Think he could be backed at 7s last night. I missed that but got 5s.

he traveled lovely (possibly too well) and was weak on course so assume he'll come on a bit for it

Yeah, he looks like a big chaser in the making. Thought he had it once he held off the Nicholls horse up the straight but there were a few lining up in behind.
