David Mullins is a better jockey than Nico and is retained by the owner

It's not sentimental. (Grand National winner) David has obviously done the business as far as Buckley and Nicky the Needle are concerned and I doubt if the subject has even cropped up.

It may also be a hint that NtN sees River Wylde as more likely to run his race at Cheltenham.

Paddy’s 9/2 about NHH looks a decent price to me. I reckon he’ll improve past Sceau Royal and Finian’s will get outpaced. Have to admit Brain Power should win if running his race but happy to take the price. Hill’s only 3/1

No Douvan. Surprise. Mullins does my tits in, he honestly does.

Busy kicking myself here for not taking the 5/2 Fox Norton on Tuesday night
From a sporting point of view I’d love to have seen Douvan run and his absence is disappointing if fairly predictable

Put this in the what are you backing today thread as hadn't seen this thread for Saturdays action.

Just a quick one as I haven't much time was looking at the December handicap hurdle on Saturday actually at William H Bonney who I automatically assumed would hold a decent chance but something else has caught my eye in the shape of Exitas who has 2 entries one for Sunday but he's already jocked up for Saturday and its the bigger prize. He's been going well in chases of late and won a decent handicap at Ascot by 7L. His hurdle mark is 8lb lower than his chase mark and with Mitchell Bastyan booked he gets another 5lb off. Corals are 14/1 and although I haven't been through the race with a fine tooth comb that has to be all kinds of wrong. Had a decent bet at that price.

David not Danny Mullins - the former is a much better jockey than the latter IMO. I see archie was there before me.

I think 8/13 FN and 7/2 Politologue is a slightly too big a price differential.

Mitchell Bastyan who was originally jocked up on not only Exitas but another of my interests for tomorrow in Hollybush Henry has been replaced by 7lb claimer Daniel Sansom I can't say I'm too familar with him but hoping he's going to have a big day tomorrow. His record over hurdles doesn't look too bad at a glance so I'm hopeful.

Just briefly Hollybush Henry finished 4th behind Beer Goggles at Aintree so the form has been franked slightly. Hollybush would of traded very short in running travelled really well and looked like the winner for a long way before tiring late on. I'm hoping that a furlong less on better ground will help him see out his race a bit better and hopefully this isn't as strong a race. He's not much of a price now but has a good chance I think.

Agree with this. Mimimum of fuss in the Haldon Gold Cup. Will be primed for this with Fox Norton perhaps looking to have a few pound spare for the King George. I think he is a bet.

Second inspection at Sandown at 10am but they are optimistic that racing will go ahead. Frost covers have done their job so far - Andrew Cooper.

    Correct.

To much ruddy moaning goes on.

I'm on Ar Mad in the Tingle Creek. I can't help thinking he's ranked better than Sire De Grugy at home. If he's as good as I hope, I think Fox Norton (which I backed to win last year's Champion Chase) will have to be as good as the market believes.

That was a great race and an impressive win for Sceau Royal, looking the horse I thought I was backing for the Champion Hurdle.
