Ground is forecast to be heavy on the hurdles course at Sandown so I can understand the decision on Brain Power with only 5 weeks until Cheltenham but I'm mystified re Charli Parcs.

    The Nicky Henderson Thread

Will find out in blog this evening. Id fully imagine now he is now Supreme bound even tho they wont admit that.

It was quite obvious yesterday evening, as I flagged up here, that he had absolutely no intention of running him at Musselburgh. I ended up cashing out on an accum waiting on him with the first 3 Clonmel winners yesterday as a result.

On a plus, with Brain Power missing tomorrow I now have both 5/2 & 11/10 on BD to take the Sandown race tomorrow.

They have puled a real fast one here. Word gets out that Soldier is the one to back 10/1 to 4/1 they pull out Charli and run John's horse who's won twice on the course. Now that's plan and no one spotted it

They will almost make as much as you Kauto if they pull it off.

As for Charli he'll go to Kempton for the Adonis then to???...who cares I have backed him in both

It'll be fine when the flat starts. Those trainers are easier to predict.

I need Buveur D'air to win to cover my losses on Charli and he doesn't run until after Project Bluebooks race......I might back him anyway...........It looks like aplan and surely Nicky's won't upset it unless he is the plan..........I can't keep up with this I need a rest

Whatever happened to Ivantheterrible who told me Top Notch wouldn't make the grade over fences.....not fair when they go into hiding and you can't run salt in the wounds.

He's back on the go again tomorrow looking for his 4th win on the trot but up to now had had a very easy time of it beating 2 donkeys and another horse who made an ass of himself.

Clan Des Obeaux looks a great prospect and will be tough to beat. As for Le Prezien I've already said I thought he was a very expensive purchase so I am sticking to my guns and eliminating him from Calculations,

This is the biggy for Top Notch and will give some indication of where he ends up next Cheltenham or Cartmel.

Good to hear his old sidekick Peace and Co continues to thrive. If he can find his old form he's be a shoe in for The Imperial Cup of his new mark

CDO for me in that. If he got the 2nd last right last time I think he would've taken Whisper. Top Notch might be stretched over 2m4f on soft around Sandown.

How many trials left? Kelso Morebattle,The Kingwell and as an alternative a NHF race at Kempton that MTOY did.........is that it?

He wont want to clash with Yanworth and Alan King won't want Yanworth to clash with Sceau Royal in the Kingwell doesn't leave much for him

Kelso is usually half decent ground unless it gets tacky which can tear the guts out of a horse with the clay surface and the uphill finish. Top Notch went though it easy enough last year but that was pissing down if I remember right.

No doubt he'll have a look and send him there or Kempton

Agree. It was inexperience that got CDO beat last time and I'm convinced he's capable of taking this

I have a feeling CDO is a bit of a flat track bully.

I thought Yanworth had taken a knock and would go straight to Cheltenham

I would be very much in the Le Prezien camp tomorrow, but I've a sneaking feeling they may be readying him for the Grand Annual (which he's not quoted for), off a very nice mark.

I think he's possibly the best horse in the race tomorrow, but JP and Nicholls have both got previous in the big race in March and we may not see him at his best tomorrow. I might have a few quid on tomorrow just in case I'm wrong though.

If he has a quiet one tomorrow and he gets a Grand Annual entry off his current mark I'll be fully unloading.
