The vision and the reality could be two different things Tanlic

Am sure he has aspirations of being a future champion trainer

To make a real go of it he will need to get some chasers into the mix

Even Gigi realised that they had to try get a few flat pedigrees and hurdling types into their colours.
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

He's made a tremendous start including beating his old man a couple of times. Seems to know his onions but I'm sure he's got a good team behind him.

a 65k Son of Milan is some purchase for a lad just out of nappies. That said there's more than a few born with a silver spoon in their mouths who don't last 5 minutes no matter how much help they get.

Failure in the racing games only ends up one way..departures right left and centre.

As far as Joseph goes I reckon he'll set the world on fire. He could have sat back and had an easy life instead of fasting like crazy running hundreds of miles and god only knows how meany sweatbox visits.

There's a lot more success than having the name O'Brien. anyone with that much determination, intelligence, obvious skill and the right people behind him he'll be a force to reckon with for along time to come.

Aidan has been saying for some time that Joseph has been doing a lot of the training anyway.

He will be champion trainer in Ireland (to begin with) sooner rather than later.

I see Joseph beat his old man yet again yesterday. Bet there is some ribbing going on in the O'Brien household. Joseph does seem to be destined to do very well.

Joseph O'Brien is to get a staggering team of high-class three-year-olds from his father Aidan's barn in a major boost for the young trainer and rider Barry Geraghty.Geraghty is retained rider for JP McManus, who has acquired the steeds from Coolmore.

They include Housesofparliament, last seen running a blinder in third in the Leger at Doncaster. He is one of the best Flat horses to go jumping for some time.
The Major General, 109-rated and touched off in the Gordon Stakes at Glorious Goodwood, is also to be gelded and go to Piltown.

Other runners with three-figure Flat ratings to make the move from his father to the 23-year-old are Tree Of Knowledge, Landofhopeandglory and Triplicate.

The rest are Big Ben, Cook Islands, Unicorn, Immortal Bridge and Bhutan.

Bhutan looked a lovely prospect in the spring but didn't reappear after winning his maiden on debut.

Presumably he has had problems, looked to have the scope for a jumping career.

Not a clue of any of these flat rats but have read online that he has also got a lot of horses that would ordinarily have gone to Jonjo from JP

Talk about landing on your feet

was always gonna get some good horses with his connections. feels like a matter of time before he's battling the big guns for champion trainer.

He's been active enough in the sales ring this Summer for flat horses too - 340k Lope De Vega, 140k Iffraaj & a 90k Sea The Stars the highlights.

Also bought Katnapping off Sue Bramall for 16,500 & a few out of his Dad's yard among others.

Jonjo has never received much in the way of Ballydoyle castoffs, he prefers the long term projects of 100k stores.

People considering Joseph as potential champion trainer is laughable. His old man had to prove his worth with slow and ordinary stock before being recruited by Magnier.

Will he be pushed in getting inside the head of the likes of Landofhopeandglory if he's not showing much aptitude for jumping? No, because he'll have a dozen more 100+ waiting in the wings. How are you supposed to learn how to get the best out of something when ultimately it doesn't matter in the bigger scheme of things.
