However, there were at least 2 occasions that showed the Colombians were brain damaged. 3 on 2's and players just running for the fun of it well past everyone.
How does anyone select players with so little brain matter?

Correction. There are no rules in association football. Laws. In this case the ball was spinning away from the goal and there was a player covering. I suggest you go back to school.

I would have accepted it if the ref had shown a red card [because it was a marginal one and you have to allow for human error] but wouldn't have agreed with it.

I can see the final being Brazil v Argentina, rumble in the jungle II, Brazil winning and Maradona doing 10 years in solitary.

And the unfortunate injury has had a substantial effect in driving out Brazil's price from 3.0 to a current 3.65
People seem to believe that Brazil is a one-trick pony.

He is a major player for them and his injury weakens the team considerably, who replaces Neymar, Jo? Its just desserts anyway, Scolari seemed happy with his players kicking lumps out of James Rodriguez.

I never wish injury on anyone and he's a great player to watch but agree entirely with jakers. What goes round comes around. Brazilians say that "god is Brazilian" apparently.. ... Yeah right

Scolari is a two bob bluffer of a manager.

The ref knew exactly what he was doing........

If this had been in Argentina say, the so called pundits would be screaming blue murder.

Turn the usual pundits drivel on its head.

Anyone who has an ounce of care and respect for the game would want to see these cnts dumped out immediately.n

    This from Guardian comments section:

There are many, many reasons to dislike this Brazilian team and one of them is the genuine air of panic and hysteria that surrounds them and their hosting of this tournament, seemingly turning not only their team and manager into freaked-out headless chickens but frequently their opposition and referees as well -- watch the "We're doing this for Neymar" narrative crescendo into bug-eyed mania over the next couple of days. As well as being the worst team ever to win a World Cup they might also be the first certifiable team to do so. A World Cup victory is the last thing these poor fraught lads need. What they really need is a good lie down with the blinds drawn, some Valium, and a sympathetic but strict nurse with stumpy legs.
And the Brazil-haters haters might want to ask themselves why such an overwhelming majority of (former) neutrals around the world now so passionately want Germany of all people to win a WC semifinal, unprecedented in any tournament of my lifetime. If it's just envy then why doesn't it apply equally to Germany?

I'm amazed that Fernandinho hasn't received any sort of card in his last two games.

Only saw the first-half last night but every time James got the ball he fouled him. In the previous game against Chile I thought Howard Webb developed a blind-spot as far as this player was concerned, numerous fouls but not even a yellow.

Find it very difficult to summon much enthusiasm for today's Games.

Messi is always worth watching but he can't win a game on his own. Don't know what to make of Belgium but I wouldn't cross the street to watch them.

In the other game, I find Robben a pain in the arse and no doubt Costa Rica will suffer the same malaise as Columbia did yesterday.

    Coin toss for both games.

Like any sensible Englishman I'd rather die than support the Kuntz in the next round.

well i was staggered like you guys watching this

it got as there was a foul every other pass at one point...the commentary is biased..as is the reffing..to not give one card in that first half was obviously to make sure Brazil didn't lose any players next game..so to make it look fair he gave none...should have been a card given at least by halfway through teh first half..when one was given in second half game calmed down a bit

i do believe if Columbia had equalised it would have been disallowed..there were many crosses into the Brazil box late on with players flying all over the place..no whistle..but you can guarantee if one header had gone in there would have been an infringement.

it will take a good performance to beat Brazil with goals that can't be easily ruled out..its spoiling the competition.

I hope the Germans can beat them.

I feel the ref shoulders a lot of the blame for this, also did you see the four bafoons carrying neymar off the pitch, he was bouncing up and down with a feckin spinal injury! Also agree ,any team to win but Brazil.
