    ..................Gotze
    ..........Reus Ozil Muller
    ..........Schweini Khedira
    Lahm Mertes Hummels Schmelzer
    ................Lehman

Possible that Kroos might play ahead of Khedira, or Klose ahead of Gotze, but it seems like the above is the likely team.

I would agree, apart from Jens making a comeback between the sticks.

I would be pretty shocked if Kroos doesn't play, especially ahead of Khedira, but if for some reason Low feels he needs a more defensive player, Kroos should still play ahead of Schweini.

Don't think it's possible to win a World Cup with Gotze as a striker, as well, he's not one.

It is just a gut feeling Hamm that this is his chance to take centre stage at the World Cup, 26 years old now so in his prime, he missed November to January through injury which could be a blessing and he is playing in South America, plus the group Argentina are in they should finish top easily and will probably play Ecuador or Switzerland in the first knock out stage.

His record with Argentina in the World Cup is against him with just one goal in two tournaments but I think he is more comfortable in the shirt now, 37 goals in 84 games so far but 19 of those in his last 18 appearances and that includes 8 in 10 WC qualifiers, he also ended the season with Barcelona netting 41 in 44 games and was easily the top scorer in the second half of the season, decent return all things considering.

Apropos of nothing, but this in an intelligent thread and I am enjoying reading it immensely. I am hoping that somebody will soon be telling me who will be the top scorer.

Schmelzer isn't in the squad. Otherwise I'd agree with that.

Boateng at right back? Assuming that Lehman should read Neuer.

I`m probably in a minority of 1 on here but I don`t think Wellbeck is anywhere near as bad as many make out. He reminds me very much of Sturridge before signing for Liverpool. Give the lad a fair run in his preferred position and I think he would prove you all wrong.

    4. A player who scores in one World Cup will probably score in another.

Brazil or Argentina to win the tournament but Thomas Muller at 33/1 is a decent price for top goalscorer, particularly if, as I expect, they get through to the semis.

Lots of market leaders have scored. Nearly 3.5 goals a game on average. A very attacking World Cup. I'd swap my Benzema bet for Muller. I'd swap my Fred bet for anyone.

I had €160 e/w @ 11/2 Thomas Muller with Boyles this evening. They are top price and 4 places. The win part is an arb on Betfair and the place part is a big arb on Betfair.

How the **** did you get that much on with Boyles?!
I'm bored of this. I'm going for a Twix.

The profanity censorship on this board is ridiculous by the way.

Is he fit? Looked like he'd smashed his cheekbone up in the dying seconds of the Ghana game?
