Blimey, I didn't know that Mr Hodgson looked in here.

The older I get the better I was.
Not in the national press gossip covered by the BBC.

England need to wrap Cahill & Jags up in cotton wool - the back up are scary bad.
Now very close I can only see Spain as the winners
Hold the ball in the hot conditions, pass the opposition silly, lots of quick games will favour them and their midfield will starve better opponents strikers.

Looks like a nasty one for Marco Reus tonight. He looks distraught.
Reus is arguably Germany's most dangerous player. He is a very big loss, even allowing for the deep cover they have in the position.
Hamm, this makes it more likely that they will start with Klose. Schurrle or Klose will get his slot if he doesn't recover.

Starting to warm to France as the dark horse, anyone think 11/10 to reach the quarters is free money?
Not free money but I think Benzema playing off/from the left of Giroud could be the making of him for France - he has struggled in the past for France as often drifts out of the centre forward position and is too deep. With Giroud acting as a pivot, it could work quite well (for all that Giroud is obviously not Ribery in terms of quality). A good chance - would rather be a backer than a layer.
I have got a real hard on for Spain at 13/2.
Where is Ali?
Trying on his new Xavi underpants.
Who's gonna get them goals? I can't believe Torres was chosen over Negredo. Plus Diego Costa is not gonna operate at the level he did for Atletico. They make more sense at the same odds as Chermany but too many doubts for me.
If Diego Costa operates at even 50% of the level he did with Atletico, they will be very hard to beat. Their midfield, in the heat, will wear down all the others, and their defence is second to none in terms of record when the heat is on.
I think 13/2 is very fair, I would imagine their goals will be spread around as usual, every predictor I have used i have them to face Argentina in the semi's and if that happens it will be a toss of a coin, though personally I think Argentina will win it outright.
Yeah, they have a very good defence. Pique is a worry, but the rest of the defence is tip-top.
I think Xavi has declined a little bit, and I wouldn't mind seeing Koke replace him if he doesn't play well in the first game or two.
