Im struggling to find a reason why Sole Power isnt a max bet today. With standard luck in running, he will win.

The sprinters are all second-rate. They're always beating each other. I suspect SP might struggle to confirm the form with Kingsgate Native but good luck if you go in max on your fancy.

I think SP has been very predictable on the whole. This ground and with a strong pace sees him at his best. I think he will run his race and should be get the gaps (given normal luck in running) will kick 1f out and win by 1 1/2l.
I think Evens might make me think about the "value" arguement, but seems very straightforward to me at this juncture.
Wow, if you think he'll win 1 1/2 lengths you should be steaming in at the price.
He's more consistent than he used to be, for sure.

Disappointing how the race panned out in how they split, maybe forced Berry's hand early, but at no stage did it look like Sole Power was travelling better than Kingsgate Native. Cant really have excuses for the favourite.
Like I said, these sprinters just keep beating each other. It's only when the antipodeans turn up we see what a sprinter should look like.

Yes, I meant in terms of showing proper speed.
Aussies apart, how many 126+ sprinters (ie 131+ by Timeform's ratings) have we seen in recent years? Gye few, I suggest.
I know I'm an old fart but I can't help but compare all the so-called top sprinters to Dayjur, just as I can't help but compare all the top milers to the Brigadier.

Perhaps it's enough just to know why a poster uses this thread rather than the "What are you backing", with Slim you know it's fancied by connections or the right people are backing it, with yourself that it's good info and with FrogTheBountyMuncher that Bruce is on half term again!
I leave for a week and the thread goes to pieces. All I can say id I'd love a bookie shop full of you...
Business as usual on the cycling thread, Slim.

Running at Redcar over 9f should have the legs to see out 1f extra over the mile distance and likes to stay on well over 8f. The trainer is in form and the jockey has ridden a few winners recently despite everyone thinking he's a bad jockey.

Frankels brother is running tonight at Lingfield, can't wait.
Think you'll find Joyeuse is a filly and she's Frankel's half-sister.
Ah! but a man's reach should exceed his grasp......
There's likely to be a stewards enquiry if 'he' wins the maiden fillies race that opens the card then.
